The insufferable elitism of the Democrat ruling class is on full display just a month and change before the November midterm election. John Kerry just recently implied that voter stupidity is the reason for Democrats' electoral problems:

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) told reporters Tuesday that he believes the American people are "conflicted" and "not sure" about which party would better move the country forward, with just over a month to go until the mid-term elections. The electorate is pretty darned sure it's not the Democrats who have demonstrated quite clearly where they want to move the country.
"(T)hey have a lot of angst and anxiousness and they want to make sure that whoever they elect is going to move them forward, and they're not sure who that is," Hoyer said at his weekly Capitol pen-and-pad briefing.
Hoyer was responding to a reporter who had asked the leader whether he thought it was better for the Democratic Caucus to run on what they have accomplished or to run on the things they would like to achieve in the future. If what Hoyer says is true, how come no Democrat - not one (Dems running away from killer bunny ObamaCare; officials in DC can't identify a single House member who's running an ad boasting of a "yes" vote) - is running on ObamaCare or the stimulus? Even liberal hero Russ Feingold is running away, not just from legislation that he helped pass, but the very fact that he is a Democrat at all. Hoyer should be aware of this:Gallup: Voters Hate Pretty Much Everything The Democrats Have Passed. Hoyer also said that Andrew Sullivan of Palin derangement fame is a conservative writer. Oy.
The majority leader, who is in charge of the House calendar, said both components were important to the message Democrats had for voters.
"I think both are essential messages," he said, before admitting the public was conflicted and anxious.
