Bused in Union Thugs booed out of auditorium by townhall patriots
From the Gateway Pundit: A local union leader was booed out of Rep. Tim Bishop's town hall meeting last night in New York.
The town hall protesters did not like what Bishop was dishing out. (Newsday)
Like they tried to do here in St. Louis, union members, many from outside the district, were snuck into the hall in an effort to stack the deck with a friendly audience.
There are reports that as many as three busloads were brought in.

Rep Gary Peters (D-MI 9th) on GOP opponent: "My friend here is a teabagger"
The two candidates for the 9th district congressional seat appeared together at an event held by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority at the Bloomfield Township Library on Sept. 19. Alpha Kappa -- a black women's group -- is historically friendly territory for Democrats, and sources say Peters was comfortable -- perhaps too comfortable -- in disparaging his Republican opponent. In addition to Peters, Obama has used the term. And not just once: Obama yesterday to Dems: "Does anybody think that the TEABAG, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care?". It's the modus operindi of the liberal movement. Since they can't win the debate on the merits, they use demeaning, dismissive rhetoric instead. Even our own governor has used the slur in public: Granholm says GOP "bowing at the altar of the teabaggers." She has yet to apologize for it, something a Tucson councilwoman did not long ago, to her credit (Tucson Councilwoman apologizes for "teabagger" slur). John Kerry and John Conyers have hurled the slur in the open (Sen. John Kerry: 'Teabaggers' are 'revved up', Audio: John Conyers (D) twice uses slur "teabaggers" in radio ineterview, says "teabaggers'" 'rational abilities are compromised'). It's now in the mainstream print media (Michigan Mainstream Media Headline: "Tea Baggers Rally In Alpena") as well as on tv (Video: Laura Ingraham Blasts MSM For "Teabagger" Slur Double Standard). And that's on top of the tea party movement being painted as a mob, and as racists. That's what passes for debate from liberals these days.
"My friend here is a teabagger," Peters is purported to have said at one juncture, pointing in Raczkowski's direction. A Peters staffer at the event reportedly froze at the term's use.
I've encountered the slur myself first-hand. From a prior post of mine (Report from the Tea Party in front of the Auto Show at the Cobo Center in Detroit (with video)), check out what was said in these interviews:

An Open Letter to President Obama from Charlie Daniels
I write this letter as a patriot, a taxpayer, a lifelong resident and as concerned citizen of what I consider to be the greatest nation ever known to man, the United States of America.

EXCERPTS:
'It's really redistribution of wealth, and it's nothing new. It's been tried many places before and it has miserably failed in every one of them.
It's called socialism.
Am I calling you a socialist? Yes, I am.'
'You have betrayed a whole generation of African-Americans who voted for you because they really believed all that junk about "hope and change," they really thought you were going to do something great and the only thing you've done is to make their jobs disappear and their health insurance go up.'
'You and your party have corrupted duly elected officials in an effort to get your legislative agenda passed.'

Obama sends out Thugs to strong arm Louisiana Parish president Nungesser
Reported by The Gateway Pundit
It begins.
Team Obama sent out its goon squad to intimidate and threaten Louisiana Parish president Nungesser this week. The thugs warned him to keep his complaints to himself and out of the media.
The Washington Examiner reported:
swenbwrObama's 'Command-and-Control' An Illusion: Who's In Charge?
"Parish officials maintain that the federal government has not been in control since day one. In four separate interviews, senior-ranking Parish officials described how, until the President's visit on May 28, 2010, BP was in charge. According to one official, "until two weeks ago [after the President's May 28, 2010, visit], BP was in charge and the Coast Guard looked to them for direction." Furthermore, "Coast Guard asks BP," not vice-versa. When specifically asked to agree or disagree with the assertion that the federal government had been in control since day one, another official firmly disagreed. Mr. Nungesser told staff that "today, I can't tell you who is in control," and invited committee investigators to visit the command center to see for themselves."
Resources Used as Bargaining Chip to Mute Criticism
"In some instances, it appears that equipment is provided simply to quiet public criticism. Mr. Nungesser, who has frequently appeared on local and national television, was apparently visited by two White House officials at his office on Fathers' Day. According to Mr. Nungesser, the purpose of their visit was to find a way to keep him from calling attention to the lack of equipment. Specifically, they asked him, "What do we have to do to keep you off tv?" He simply replied, "give me what I need." On another occasion, Placquemines Parish officials requested 20 skimmers at a town hall meeting held by the Coast Guard. According to Mr. Nungesser, "They gave us two skimmers to shut us up." These accounts raise serious questions about whether the Administration is more concerned with fighting a public relations battle than combating the oil spill."

Move along folks, nothing to see here:
Police say there were no injuries or damage caused by a chemical bomb that went off in a parking lot near the Islamic Society of Portland.
The bomb went off in the lot between the Islamic Society and Back Bay Grill around 8:00 PM Tuesday night. Portland Police say Islamic elders came forward to tell them that a 13 year old from the Society was experimenting and was responsible for the bomb. Another bomb was also found undetonated.
It looks like the kid won't even be charged — not that a few months in reform school would be much of an impediment to his promising career as a Religion of Peacenik.

HOLD THE PRESSES, NELLIE Obama is offended because…you’re going to LOVE THIS HYPOCRISY!
RWBNews: What was his stand on the Ground Zero Mosque? It was legal? I don't see the statement that put Obamas shorts in a knot as being ILLEGAL.

For domestic political purposes Obama, of course, had to condemn Mahmoud Ahmadinejad'ssuggestion Thursday that the 9/11 attacks were cooked up by the American government itself.
To focus special U.S. attention on them and to provide news-hungry media with the requisite conflict, Obama's planned denunciation was leaked before the entire interview was broadcast in order to shape initial impressions positively.
The American leader called them offensive and hateful, especially as they came a short distance from the World Trade Center attack site.
(So, hmm, does that then make the ground zero site some sort of tragically sacred place, as opponents of a proposed new mosque even closer than the U.N. maintain?)

Stinking up the place; Ahmadinejad forces NY hotel guest to leave because of stench
RWB News: For New Yorkers to run away……it had to be bad.
Something besides the Iranian leader's nuclear plans or calls to destroy Israel seems to be bothering residents of the Big Apple and guests at the hotel in which he is staying. The New York Post reported that hotels guests complained of a foul odor in the hotel caused by the food cooked especially for Iranian PresidentMahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The leader of the Islamic Republic does not eat the food prepared by the hotel chefs for guests, but instead brought his own personal chef
from Iran to cook his meals for him.
Guests told the New York Post that his meals "stunk up the hotel," prompting them to leave the hotel and seek lodging elsewhere.
The hotel in which Ahmadinejad is staying did not comment.
On Thursday, a short time prior to hisspeech before the UN General Assembly, a number of Iranian exiles protested against the Islamic leader together with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

9/12 Tea Partiers Reject Obama-As-Hitler Comparison (Video)
While on location in Washington, DC for the 9/12 Tea Party, we came across a couple of people displaying large signs depicting President Obama as Hitler.
The signs were the handiwork of repeated Democrat Presidential candidate – and well known Leftist convict – Lyndon LaRouche.
The Tea Partiers responded angrily, vocally rejecting the LaRouche-Obama-Hitler brigade.
When Think Progress and others on the Progressive Left attribute these 'Obama as Hitler' signs to the Tea Party, they are being dishonest. As you can see in the video above, the LaRouchBots themselves proudly boast that they are not with the Tea Party.
Say what you will about Obama being a Marxist, or more specifically a "Democratic Socialist", that does not mean he is genocidal. There is indeed a freighting overlap between Marxism and genocidal maniacs around the globe, but President Obama is not a murderer. The Democratic Socialist policies of the Progressive Left might cause many people to die in war and famine and disease, but Obama doesn't strike many sane people as looking to shove corpses into ovens. The comparison to Hitler is both offensive and inaccurate.
But we don't have to tell most Tea Partiers that. They already know better. Political operatives on the Left though…..that's another story.
Mainstream Progressive Democrats have no problem depicting Americans as Hitler.

Mentally Retarded Now Have ‘Intellectual Disability’
Along with implementing a socialist takeover of healthcare making it more expensive and less attentive, aside from taking over America's car industry and creating a new brand of auto — Government Motors — and right along side efforts to give Big Labor millions of our tax dollars in payoffs and bailouts, not to mention attempting to takeover the banking and investing sectors, the Obama administration and the Democrat Party have also decided that we can no longer say "mentally retarded," or even mentally disabled." Hence forth by order of Democrats we shall now call them "intellectually disabled."
This is the really important work of Congress in these "interesting times" in which we live.
With this important work, Congress has changed the label in existing health, education and labor law so that the terminology will more closely ascribe to that of the United Nation's health arm.
Me, I'd like to know when they will officially classify liberalism as a mental disease? Maybe instead of saying they suffer from liberalism, we should say they suffer from "Intellectual Disassociation Disorder." Because they certainly can't seriously imagine that their lies and schemes comport with reality in any way.
Still, I am glad that Congress has taken the time away from spending us into oblivion and indulging its plans to materially destroy the USA to make it a less powerful member of the European Union to alter our mental health definitions to fit the UN's needs. God knows we can't help the UN out enough.

The More We Learn, the Worse ObamaCare Gets
The Washington Examiner lists a few of the reasons that ObamaCare is turning out to be, incredibly enough, even worse than some expected:
• Obamacare won't decrease health care costs for the government.
• Obamacare covers elective abortions, contrary to Obama's promise that it wouldn't.
• Obamacare won't allow employees or most small businesses to keep the coverage they have and like.
• Obamacare will increase insurance premiums — in some places, it already has.
• Obamacare will force seasonal employers … to pay huge fines, cut hours, or lay off employees.
• Obamacare forces states [many of which can't afford it] to guarantee not only payment but also treatment for indigent Medicaid patients.
• Obamacare imposes a huge nonmedical tax compliance burden on small business.
• Obamacare allows the IRS to confiscate part or all of your tax refund if you do not purchase a qualified insurance plan.
Revolutions have started over less than this outrageously arrogant power grab. Republicans had better overcome their characteristic squishiness and repeal this abomination by any means necessary, or make way for others who will. If it we don't kill it fast, it will become entrenched, and our first-rate healthcare will be gone for ever.
On tips from G. Fox, J, and Curtis.

Obama's Racist DOJ "I Believe There Was An Environment Of Hostility Toward Race Neutral Enforcement.
Coates' was a shocking indictment of rampant racism against Caucasians in the Obama administrations Department of Justice. His testimony accused the administration of using race to determine which cases are prosecuted. Corroborating the testimony of J. Christian Adams, Coates testimony illustrates that the issue goes way beyond the New Black Panther case, the real issue is the organization charged with protecting civil rights is now a tool for increasing discrimination in the country.
He stated that his reasons going for going against his superiors and talking to the panel was the inaccurate testimony given by Assistant AG Perez:
Based upon my own personal knowledge of the events surrounding the CRD's [civil rights division of the DOJ] actions in the NBPP case and the atmosphere that has existed and continues to exist in the CRD and in and in the Voting Section against fair enforcement of certain federal voting laws, I do not believe these representations to this Commission accurately reflect what occurred in the NBPP case and do not reflect the hostile atmosphere that has existed Within the CRD for a long time against race-neutral enforcement of the Voting Rights Act (VRA)
.According to the Mr. Coates, this discrimination was also evident in the Bush Administration but his administration was fighting the bias within the DOJ. But things changed after the 2008 election:
The election of President Obama brought to positions of influence and power within the civil rights division many of the very people who had demonstrated hostility to the concept of equal enforcement of the Voting Rights Act.Things got so bad that when he interviewed lawyers to join his department he first made sure they would be willing to work on all cases.
I began to ask applicants for trial attorney positions in their job interviews whether they would be willing to work on cases that involved claims of racial discrimination against white voters, as well as cases that involved claims of discrimination against minority voters. For obvious reasons, I did not want to hire people l who were politically or ideologically opposed to the equal enforcement of the voting statutes the Voting Section is charged with enforcing. That was until his new boss Loretta King, promoted by President Obama ordered him to stop asking the question.
From Ms. King's view, why should I ask that question when a response that an applicant would not be willing to work on a case against minority election officials would not in any way, in her opinion, weigh against hiring that applicant to work in the Voting Section. In other words the days of equal protection under the law were over. And the dismissal of the case was clear proof
It is my opinion that this disposition of the NBPP case was ordered because the people calling the shots in May 2009 were angry at the ñling of the Ike Brown case [a discrimination case against an African American prosecuted during the Bush Administration] and angry at our filing of the NBPP case. That anger was the result of their deep-seated opposition to the equal enforcement ofthe VRA against racial minorities and for the protection of Whites who have been discriminated against......The final disposition of the NBPP case, even in the face of a default by the defendants, was caused by this incorrect view of civil rights enforcement, and it was intended to send a direct message to people inside and outside the CRD. That message is that the filing of voting cases like the Ike Brown and the NBPP cases would not continue in the Obama Administration.Coates hoped for a change in attitude when Julie Fernandez was appointed by the President to become assistant AG for Civil Rights, but those hopes were dashed when Ms Fernandez held a staff luncheon for the Voting Rights Division and declared that the Obama Administration was only interested in bringing the "traditional" types of section 2 cases that would provide political equality for racial and language minority voters. That, she said, is what we are all about.
One of the most sacred rights and responsibilities of American citizenship is voting. We are supposed to be guaranteed that every person's vote is worth as much as every other person's vote. That guarantee has never been perfect, Blacks weren't allowed to vote until the 15th amendment in 1870, and women until 1920's 19th Amendment, but the tradition of the United States has been to aspire toward the concept of "one man, one vote."
This past election we took a major step backwards, ACORN, perpetuated voter fraud in at least 14 states to the point where some districts had MORE than 100% of registered voters casting ballots. Ultimately this had little effect on the national results. But it was wide-spread enough to cause concern was enough to erode confidence in the system
Now with the testimony of Christopher Coates, on top of the testimony of J. Christian Adams we learn that under the administration of Barack Obama, the Department of Justice has little interest in enforcing voting rights for all, just those who are of a certain skin pigmentation and those for whom English is a second language.
The Obama administration has been criticized because many of its programs such as are designed to redistribute income. Frighteningly, the policy of the DOJ seems designed to redistribute voting rights by singling out one group whose rights are forbidden to be protected. If true, than this is the most racist presidential administration the United States has had in many decades.

WATCH: Angle Mocked By Reid Supporters at Debate
From The Blaze:
Last night, a fight broke out between supporters of Harry Reid and Sharron Angle during a Nevada Senatorial debate. National Review's Elizabeth Crum reported that during Reid's video-taped answers, the crowed was mostly respectful. But when Angle took the stage, tensions began rising.
Crum has now released a video montage of the heckling during Angle's time on stage last night. The crowd can be heard laughing, yelling, and clapping while Angle is trying to answer debate questions. For example, when explaining that her son once failed kindergarten, the crowd breaks into a chorus of chuckles.

RWBNews: You don't need to watch all of this. You know Sharron Angle and her message. Reid chose not to attend but he certainly sent his thugs to interrupt Angle over and over again. Nah…it's just a coincidence.

Video at link along with full article http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/2010/09/harry-reids-thugs-interrupt-sharron-angle-at-debate-start-fight-in-crowd-video/
A fight broke out in the crowd last night in Las Vegas at the Reid-Angle debate.
Harry Reid recorded his answers to the questions and couldn't make the debate but his turned out and continually interrupted conservative Sharron Angle during her segment. Later in the debate a fight broke out in the stands.
The video shows the constant interruptions during Sharron Angle's segment.
Sharron Angle interrupted on several occasions during her segment of the US Senate Candidate Forum at Faith Lutheran High School on September 23, 2010.
Elisabeth Crum has more on the raucous crowd at National Review:
Incredible but true: Nevada's Senate candidate forum ended in a loud shouting match and fist fight between supporters of Harry Reid and Sharron Angle.
The unruly affair went down at the unlikely venue of Faith Lutheran high school in Summerlin, a master-planned community just west of the Las Vegas city limits.
As the forum opened, attendees were asked not to applaud or shout out questions or comments during the event. Harry Reid answered questions via a pre-taped 30-minute interview, and then Sharron Angle answered a moderator's questions live on stage.
A few in the 800-member audience snickered and murmured during portions of Reid's video segment, particularly when he was talking about health care reform, and a couple of comments were uttered loud enough to be heard throughout the auditorium. For the most part, though, the crowd was respectful and fairly reserved during the Reid portion of the forum.
That changed once Angle appeared. Most of the 800-member audience jumped to their feet, half of them cheering, half loudly booing as she and the moderator took the stage. Even once all were seated and Angle began to speak, many in the crowd were quite boisterous and some became increasingly bold and uncivil as the event continued.
Angle was repeatedly shouted at as she tried to answer questions. Scornful remarks, sarcastic questions, and accusations including "Liar!" were shouted by Reid partisans. The moderator politely asked for order, twice, but it had little effect on the more raucous members of the crowd.
At one point, the moderator admonished the audience and said shouting and applause cut into Angle's speaking time. A few people then deliberately continued clapping and making comments to prevent Angle from saying anything. To her credit, Angle stayed composed and continued speaking even when as many as 30 or 40 audience members were shouting all at once.
Of course, the fact that Harry Reid's goon squad wouldn't let Sharron Angle speak surprises no one.

LA Dem, Landrieu, holds Obama OMB nominee hostage over drilling moratorium
More party infighting looms large as LA's Dem Senator, Mary Landrieu, promises to block Obama's OMB nominee, Jack Lew, until the deepwater drilling moratorium has been lifted, of "significantly modified." While the lawsuit filed over the ban, struck down in federal courts, waits it's government appeal in the higher courts, Landrieu is still alarmed at the job loss inpact that some still economists predict could be as high as 58,000 in not only the oil industry, but it's boomerang effect on support industries as well in the State, until the moratorium's current sunset date at the end of November.
Since it's implementation in May, the moratoriums has idled 33 rigs doing exploratory drilling, and at fived have pulled up anchor, so to speak, to head to currently active drilling projects. Landrieu can expect a serious battle from the White House, as they hit the airwaves just last week with an internal WH report commissioned with the Bipartisan Policy Center to study the effects of the moratorium in five Parishes. Their findings were that the job loss is confined to no more than 8000 to 12,000 jobs.
"The evidence suggests that job impacts among workers in larger companies, particularly the drilling rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, may be relatively limited because these companies have chosen to retain their skilled labor," according to Thursday's inter-agency report. "Most of the potential employment impacts may be in businesses that provide supplies and support to the drilling industry in the Gulf Coast."
Landrieu and fellow Republican Senator, David Vitter, have criticized the findings as rosy at best, citing that the report didn't address what was tantamount to a de factor shallow water drilling. Prior to BP's Deepwater Horizon tragedy, permit applications were averaging about 40 monthly for shallow water drilling. Since the moratorium, there has been only about a dozen in month's time.
The employment findings were also questionable, as temporary clean up jobs skewed job loss for the oil drilling and support industries. But that's an old trick with this administration, blessed with the convenience of timing – hiring Census workers and enjoying broadcasting the false positives on employment to a seriously stressed out nation.
In direct conflict with Obama's distorted reality is Jack Noe of the Shallow Water Energy Coalition, calling it "outrageous" to consider clean up jobs a net positive.
"Spinning this as a positive is like saying that a hurricane is good for the economy because of all of the rebuilding work it will provide afterward," Noe said. "It's the cleanup that's 'temporary,' not the impact of the moratorium."
Mr. Noe has a few stats of his own, and the picture isn't pretty, as you can see by Slide Five of his power point presentation on the SWEC site.
Chiming right in is LSU economist, Joseph Mason, who was a bit more politically correct in terming the snow job of a report "overly optimistic". Altho his own studies echo that of Obama's Bipartisan Policy Center's limited scope, the job losses will not immediately stop when the moratorium is lifted, and extension of the moratorium poses serious risks.
In addition to the sleight of hand employment trick with clean up jobs, Commerce Undersecretary, Rebecca Blank, avows many of the rig workers kept their jobs, using the time to repair rigs and to be around in the anticipation that deepwater drilling will resume post moratorium. The monkey in that wrench is, as SWEC's stats above point out, even shallow water drilling is taking a hit, and the deepwater drilling permit process is far more complex. Combine that with deepwater drilling rigs aren't as common as 7-11's on every urban corner, and the resumption of any drilling is likely to be a painful ramp up period of time.
While we all knew that the moratorium was not going to nestly comfortably into the Obama/Dem talking points of jobs "created or saved", what is pleasantly surprising is to see one of his own party, taking a very strong vocal lead in opposition to the WH.

MI Court of Appeals Goes Rogue, Refuses Unanimous MI Supreme Court Order To Explain Dismissal Of For
The Michigan Supreme Court ordered a lower court today to explain why it dismissed a lawsuit challenging the unionization of 40,000 child-care providers who work at home.
And from the Mackinac Center for Public Policy: Court of Appeals Must Explain ItselfThe justices sent the case back to the state appeals court, which had ruled against three women with a six-word sentence in December.
The Michigan Supreme Court ruled unanimously Wednesday that the Michigan Court of Appeals must explain why it rejected a lawsuit regarding the forced unionization of small-business owners, according to the Detroit Free Press.
...The Grand Rapids Press editorialized against the scheme, saying it "violates the basic constitutional rights of freedom of association," while the Livingston Daily Press & Argus also editorialized on the issue, calling it "an under-the-radar method of padding the union pockets." WTOP Radio in Washington, D.C., WLUC-TV6 in Negaunee, WILX-TV10 in Lansing, WLNS-TV6 in Lansing, WHMI-93.5FM in Howell, WEYI-TV25 in Saginaw, the Petoskey News-Review, the Midland Daily News and The Flint Journal also covered the story.
Patrick J. Wright, director of the MCLF, was a guest on "The Frank Beckmann Show" on WJR AM760 today to discuss the Supreme Court's decision. It has come to light today, however, that the appeals court is essentially refusing the order. From the Mackinac Center via email: Michigan Court of Appeals' Second Terse Dismissal of Day Care Union Suit Again Fails to Address Core Legal Questions
In a court order received yesterday afternoon, the Michigan Court of Appeals dismissed a lawsuit against the Michigan Department of Human Services on behalf of home-based day care owners and "again failed to address key questions" in doing so, said Patrick J. Wright, director of the Mackinac Center Legal Foundation. Wright, who filed the lawsuit against the DHS on behalf of Sherry Loar of Petoskey, Michelle Berry of Flint and Paulette Silverson of Brighton, said he expects to file a motion for reconsideration at the Court of Appeals. "For the second time, the Court of Appeals failed to discuss how private business owners can be made to pay dues to a government employees union," Wright said. "In fact, the Court of Appeals entered just four sentences of legal assertions, and those managed to avoid the key legal questions. This is surprising, given that the Michigan Supreme Court unanimously ordered the Court of Appeals to explain its first dismissal of the lawsuit. So basically they took the SCOM order and wiped their activist arses with it. This is the absurd situation in a nutshell: You are a private babysitter. Parents pay you to watch a few kids each day in your own home. If any of those parents are getting state help for babysitting? Guess what - you are now a union member. You don't work for the state or anyone else save the parents, and the union provides nothing for you. That's right - as I have posted on before, and the Detroit Free Press begrudgingly admits, the 'union' doesn't provide collective bargaining to private babysitters. Or healthcare. Or... well... anything. The private babysitter set their own working hours. And they set their own working conditions. The illegal union is simply collecting $3.7 million and returning nothing. Nor can any of the babysitters get a hold of any union officials. What's next for Michigan, force-unionizing the unemployed because they get a check from the government? Force-unionizing private doctors if they accept Medicare patients? It's just a money grab that the Granholm regime set up illegally. by fiat created a shell corporation out of whole cloth, the defunded but somehow still operational Michigan Home Based Child Care Council (MHBCCC), that forces union dues out of private babysitters to fill union coffers that will then be used to elect more puppet Democrats that give even more power and money to the unions, rinse, repeat, etc in perpetuity. Kathy Hoekstra of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy did some digging on the issue:
"The core legal issues are plain," Wright added. "Michigan's constitution specifically states that only the Legislature can make people into public employees. No one disputes this. And nobody disputes that the Legislature never made home-based day care providers into government employees. The Court of Appeals should not sanction this radical and unconstitutional conversion of private employers into government employees with a mere four sentences of so-called 'analysis.'"
The lawsuit seeks to end the DHS' withholding of "union dues" from child care subsidy checks sent to some 40,000 home-based day care providers on behalf of low-income parents who qualify for government assistance.
Wright noted that the Court of Appeals' terse response stands in stark contrast to its 2008 actions in a case concerning the proposed Reform Michigan Government Now ballot initiative.
"Both cases sought the same remedy, and both concerned suspicious activity by major political forces that had overstepped the bounds of the Michigan Constitution," Wright said. "But the RMGN case, which involved the reorganization of state government, was addressed in an expedited fashion and fully explored by the Court of Appeals. This day care case, which involves a shady process that has funneled millions of dollars to the governor's political allies from tens of thousands of unsuspecting business owners and day care workers, deserves at least the same judicial consideration."
How is this not outright fraud again? Rush Limbaugh even picked up on this not long ago:
This is a sad episode of violating the 13th amendment and enslaving private babysitters for the benefit of unions. She and her regime have denied having anything to do with it, but a video has surfaced where she is caught bragging about the illegal maneuver that has been challenged in court. If only Granholm would have put this much effort into improving the economic climate in Michigan. In related news on the positive side, a federal lawsuit against this farce is progressing: Lawsuit Over Forced Unionization Gets Green Light. Unfortunately, at eth federal level we are under the tyranny of the black robe, with more judicial activists than at the state level. So basically a crapshoot as to whether or not they read the US Constitution.

Justice Dept. Official Testifies About Black Panther Intimidation Case
Stephen Colbert was not the only one testifying on Capitol Hill today. Lost in the media circus following Colbert's comments may have been the the testimony of a far more important individual.
On Friday, Christopher Coates testified in front of the U.S. Civil Rights Commission about the Department of Justice's handling of a voter intimidation case last year.
Coates is the whistle-blowing Justice Department official who revealed a "hostile atmosphere" within the department, and supports former Justice staffer J. Christian Adams's claims of bias toward cases that involved white victims and black defendants. Both have criticized the Justice Department's downgrading of a case involving voter intimidation by the New Black Panther Party at a voting station in Philadelphia during 2008 presidential voting.
In his testimony Coates blasted "senior political appointees" at the DOJ for "gutting" the case.
"Given this outrageous conduct, it was a travesty of justice for the Department of Justice not to allow attorneys in the voting section to obtain nationwide injunctive relief against" the defendants, Cotes testified.
He said that he believes the Voting Rights Act has not been enforced equally, and that certain civil rights groups have pressured the department into molding it into a de facto law benefiting minorities: "Many of these groups act … as special interest lobbies for racial and ethnic minorities and demand not equal treatment but enforcement of the Voting Rights Act only for racial and language minorities."

The DOJ had advised Coates, a 13-year veteran of the civil rights division, not to honor a subpoena to speak on Capitol Hill, but he decided to ignore their request and testify at a U.S. Civil Rights Commission hearing on Friday anyway.
He called the attempt by the DOJ to silence him part of "the hostile atmosphere that has existed within [Justice's Civil Rights] Division for a long time against race-neutral enforcement of the Voting Rights Act."
Since last year, Coates has been transferred to the U.S. attorney's office in South Carolina. According to Fox, the Justice Department has denied the allegations over its handling of the New Black Panther intimidation case, saying that it was downgraded "based on the merits, not the race, gender or ethnicity of any party involved."
