Tea Party-Backed Dan Benisheck Takes Bart Stupak Seat Back For GOP

This is Stupak's true legacy. The Judas of the pro-life movement essentially quit after the ObamaCare vote and hasn't been heard from since. Here's tonight's results that have been called for Benisheck even though several polls had his opponent up in recent days:
Michigan may yet flip 3 more seats in districts 7, 9 and 15. The last post I had on Stupak was back in April and is especially important here: Video: Stupak Driven From Office by Tea Party Movement

TSUNAMI ALERT! GOP TAKES BACK THE HOUSE

FOX NEWS In a victory of historic proportions, Republicans will win the U.S. House of Representatives with a net gain of about 60 seats, FoxNews projects.

The gains would exceed those made during the Republican wave of 1994, when the party picked up 54 House seats. In House races from Florida to Virginia to Indiana, voters were sending a rebuke to the Democratic Party by electing Republicans over Democratic incumbents.

The power shift means House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, portrayed as somewhat of a political bogeyman by GOP candidates throughout the campaign, will lose her post and likely be succeeded by Minority Leader John Boehner.

Republicans were also off to a strong start on the Senate side, picking up three Senate seats from Democrats and holding down a number of others — giving no ground as they look for big gains Tuesday night.

Ruh-Roh… Coons Camp Blasts Out Midday Email Expressing Turnout Worries

Ruh-Roh…. This wasn't supposed to happen. Chris Coons shot out an email to supporters today begging them to get out to the polls.

But… But… This race was supposed to be a lock?

Christine O'Donnell sliced the Bearded Marxist's lead in half in one week.

The Wall Street Journal reported, via Free Republic:

Most polls have predicted that the closely watched Delaware Senate race between Democrat Chris Coons and Republican tea-party favorite Christine O'Donnell was going to be anything but close. One poll last week had Mr. Coons up by 10 points, while all the others gave him a far more comfortable margin.

But Democrats in Delaware remain skittish.

In a noon email alert to supporters, Coons campaign manager Christy Gleason said close monitoring of voter turnout in the state's 41 representative districts showed "lower turnout in New Castle and Kent counties than we're comfortable with."

To win, Mr. Coons will have to get heavy support from Democrats and independents in New Castle, the state's most populous county. In the primary, Ms. O'Donnell drew heavy support from the state's other two counties, Kent and Sussex, which skew more to the right.

52% Say Election Is a Referendum On Obama’s Failed Agenda

The Obama-Pelosi-Reid Regime tripled the national deficit in one year.

(The Captain's Comments)
They've damaged the economy for years to come.

They doubled the unemployment rate from where it was when they took over Congress.

(Source: US Misery Index)

48 of 50 states have lost jobs since they rammed through their Trillion dollar stimulus bill. The Obama-Pelosi economic plan resulted in a cumulative 7.5 million jobs deficit. In fact, Barack Obama is the worst jobs president since the Great Depression.

Today, Americans will give the Obama-Pelosi regime some feedback.
52% of voters believe today's election is a referendum on Obama's failed agenda.
Rasmussen reported:

Most voters say today's election is a referendum on President Obama's agenda and that he should change course if Republicans win control of the House. But most also don't expect him to make that change.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters believe this election is more a referendum on the president's agenda than about individual candidates and issues. Thirty-eight percent (38%) disagree and say the candidates and issues are paramount. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Only 40% of voters think the president should continue to pursue the same agenda if Republicans gain control of the U.S. House of Representatives as many analysts predict. Fifty-six percent (56%) say Obama should change course in response to the election results.

However, two-out-of-three voters (66%) expect the president not to change but instead to continue to pursue his same agenda if Republicans win control of Congress. Nineteen percent (19%) believe he will change course, but 15% more are not sure.

How can 40% of Americans actually think that Obama should continue down this disastrous road? Really?

VOTE OUT THE REGIME

He must be stopped.

Obama bows submits

Do not forget how the Democrats ignored us, millions in the streets, at their offices, on the mall, in the public square, begged the moochers and the looters not to nationalize the banks, segments of  the automotive biz, healthcare. REMEMBER.

Remember how he rewarded the SEIU and ACORN thugs with your taxpayer dollars.

Remember GITMO and the persecution of the CIA agents that saved thousands of lives.

Remember the Black Panther intimidation and Obama's Department of Justice's racism.

Remember the rules of engagement that are killing our boys and girls in Afghanistan.

He must be stopped.

· His first phone call was to Abbas, the terrorist leader of the Palestinian Authority and al Fatah;

· His first interview was on al-Arabiya News Channel, where he apologized for the United States;

· His first appointment of an envoy to Syria was the appointment of George Soros;

· He bankrolled Hamas out of Whitehouse funds to the tune of $23 million, following Israel's invasion of Gaza to stop the missile strikes;

· He promised another 900 million to Gaza;

· He immediately adopted the Saudi Plan as policy for Israel, which favors a contiguous Palestinian state (that is, a geographic area that connects Gaza with the West Bank and includes Jerusalem – necessarily dividing Israel);

· He dismissed charges against the perpetrators of the bombing of the USS Cole;

· He announced the shut-down of Gitmo, and apologized to the Islamic world for its existence;

· He announced that his first summit would be an Islamic summit;

· He turned a blind eye to Iran's launch of a satellite capable of triangulating coordinates for ICBMs that Iran is furiously trying to develop for the delivery of nuclear weapons;

· He turned a blind eye to the release of A. Q. Khan, Pakistan's top nuclear scientist, who is believed to be the very person to have delivered nuclear bomb technology to North Korea;

· He intends to eliminate our anti-ballistic missile defense program;

· He intends to reduce our nuclear weapons arsenal by 75%;

· He intends to reduce our military budget by 25%;

· He has reneged on developing nuclear power;

· He continues to block off-shore or expanded drilling;

· He continues to try and block the production of coal (45% of our electric generating capability)

US to spend $200 mn a day on Obama's Mumbai visit

Mumbai:  The US would be spending a whopping $200 million (Rs. 900 crore approx) per day on President Barack Obama's visit to the city.

"The huge amount of around $200 million would be spent on security, stay and other aspects of the Presidential visit," a top official of the Maharashtra Government privy to the arrangements for the high-profile visit said.

About 3,000 people including Secret Service agents, US government officials and journalists would accompany the President. Several officials from the White House and US security agencies are already here for the past one week with helicopters, a ship and high-end security instruments.

"Except for personnel providing immediate security to the President, the US officials may not be allowed to carry weapons. The state police is competent to take care of the security measures and they would be piloting the Presidential convoy," the official said on condition of anonymity.

Navy and Air Force has been asked by the state government to intensify patrolling along the Mumbai coastline and its airspace during Obama's stay. The city's airspace will be closed half-an-hour before the President's arrival for all aircraft barring those carrying the US delegation.

The personnel from SRPF, Force One, besides the NSG contingent stationed here would be roped in for the President's security, the official said.

The area from Hotel Taj, where Obama and his wife Michelle would stay, to Shikra helipad in Colaba would be cordoned off completely during the movement of the Presid

Biden was in Delaware.  Drew just 200 people.  Let's do the math:

  • Secret Service contingent: 12
  • VEEP staff:  6
  • White House politicos to correct misstatements: 15
  • Event organizers: 6
  • Janitorial staff: 15
  • Catering service: 6
  • Facility security: 15
  • Other speakers: 1
  • Other speaker's staff: 6
  • Biden family and purchased friends: 10
  • Union bosses:  20
  • Union members (unemployed): 83

That makes 195 people there because they had to be.  Net audience to hear the Vice President: 5.  And of those 5, 3 were Tea Party members.

This could be fun:

Voters in Arizona, Colorado and Oklahoma will have the chance Tuesday to reject the new health care law's central provision to require almost everyone to have health insurance or face a tax penalty beginning in 2014.

Ballots in the three states include proposed amendments to the states' constitutions that would prohibit the enforcement of the individual mandate and other provisions of the law. They mirror a measure that Missouri voters approved by more than 70 percent in August. Legislatures in several other states, including Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana and Virginia, have also passed state laws with similar language.

It really does suck to Obama today.  Oh, hey, Barry, any refrain of "I won" coming???

Report: Minnesota AFSCME public employees were seen this past weekend bringing mentally challenged individuals into the polling stations.

Election Integrity Watch reported:
This video documents a case of potential voter fraud that occurred in Crow Wing County. On Friday, October 29th, 2010, a member of the Minnesota Freedom Council witnessed apparent voter fraud occurring at the Crow Wing County Courthouse in Brainerd, Minnesota.

Upwards of 100 residents from a local group home for mentally disadvantaged individuals were brought into the County Courthouse to cast absentee ballots. The witness reported that supervisors were telling voters to cast a straight Democrat ticket. There was even a report of a voter prematurely leaving the voting both and a supervisor casting the ballot for the voter. Essentially, the people in-charge were taking advantage of the mentally disabled in order to bolster the vote for their candidates of choice. These individuals involved can be charged with a felony under Minnesota election laws.

Formal complaints are in the process of being filed with the Crow Wing County Attorney.

In late October 2008, Barack Obama released his "Defining Moment" video:
"Are you better off than you were four years ago?"

Now we have an answer…
75% of Americans say "NO!" they are not better off. This is the highest number since the mid-1970s.
CNN reported:

The number of Americans who say things are going badly in the country, at 75 percent, is higher than it has been on the eve of any midterm election since the question was first asked in the mid-1970s, according to a new national poll.

A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Monday also indicates that the economy remains, by far, the top issue on the minds of Americans. Fifty-two percent of people questioned say the economy's the most important issue facing the country.

"That's more than the deficit, education, health care, terrorism, energy, illegal immigration and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq combined," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. "No other issue was named as the country's top problem by more than 8 percent."

Chavez Builds Anti U.S. Alliance

Sent to you by Jay via Google Reader:

via New Zeal by Admin on 11/2/10

Hugo Chavez works with his "former" East Bloc allies and radical Islamist states to encircle America.

President of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez has been busy. From October 13 - 24, he traveled throughout European, Asian, Middle-Eastern and African nations, speaking, attending meetings, and signing agreements. A key element of the tour was to showcase Venezuela's economy and tout its significance on the global market.

At one stop, Chavez stated, "[Venezuela is] now on the offensive," and the "rules of the game have changed radically." An analyst, referring to his comments observed, "Integration and the union of peoples provide a shield against imperialist aggression." The Communist Party USA's People's World provides the following summary of the specifics of this Venezuelan economic offensive:
  • Russia: Chavez signed 15 documents of "strategic cooperation" with Russian President Dmitry Medvédev, among them joint plans to build Venezuela's first nuclear power plant. Venezuela will buy 35 Russian tanks under previous accords and will be planting 50,000 acres with plantains, flowers and other crops for export to Russia. A new Russian-Venezuelan bank will promote independence from U.S.-controlled international financial institutions. (Chavez is highly popular with Russian legislators)
  • Belarus: Chavez agreed to provide 30 million tons of crude oil over three years and purchase petroleum drilling and repair services from Belarus, which is uncertain about continued Russian oil availability after recent diplomatic tiffs. Belarus will help build 5,000 houses in Venezuela, in addition to 10,000 houses promised from Russia, 12,500 from Portugal, and 10,000 from Iran. At a state-owned Belarus heavy truck factory, Chavez announced a joint venture for building Latin America's first big truck factory. Belarus will participate in shoe and textile manufacture in Venezuela. Chavez pointed to the state-owned, 2,700 employee, Dziarzhynski food production complex as a model for Venezuela and a future trading partner.
  • Ukraine: Chavez and President Viktor Yanukovych established bilateral diplomatic relations and discussed trade possibilities. Working groups of both nations will meet in Caracas in November.
  • Iran: On his ninth visit to Iran, Chavez signed 11 agreements, making the total 200 since 2001, on technology transfer, industry, agriculture, commerce, housing and mining. Venezuela's state oil company will help open up an Iranian gas field. The two countries will form an oil shipping company and build petrochemical plants. Chavez praised a state-developed housing complex with 90,000 homes as a "new form of popular construction." Bilateral trade is valued now at $5 billion.
  • Syria: Chavez and President Bashar al-Assad signed six accords, including plans for a Syrian-Venezuelan oil refinery, a shipping line and a business bureau. Joint cotton and olive oil production is contemplated. Syria will be joining the Venezuelan-inspired Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) as an observer.
  • Libya: Chavez received an honorary degree in Libya and discussed preparations with leader Muammar Gaddafi for the third Africa-South America Summit to be held in Libya next year.
  • Portugal: Chavez visited a computer factory which supplies computers used in Venezuelan schools. The factory owner will be supplying Venezuela with 1.5 million of them over three years, some from a facility near Caracas. Portugal will be receiving Venezuelan crude oil, and shipping services will be developed.
In 2005 Chavez stated, "Socialism is the future. We want the 21st century to be the century of social justice, of the triumph of the working people everywhere, and of Socialism. Socialism is the future and it is a certainty."

Chavez's networking is not about economics, it is about regional hegemony and ultimately about the isolation and destruction of socialism's traditional opponent, the U.S.A.
