FOX NEWS In a victory of historic proportions, Republicans will win the U.S. House of Representatives with a net gain of about 60 seats, FoxNews projects.
The gains would exceed those made during the Republican wave of 1994, when the party picked up 54 House seats. In House races from Florida to Virginia to Indiana, voters were sending a rebuke to the Democratic Party by electing Republicans over Democratic incumbents.
The power shift means House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, portrayed as somewhat of a political bogeyman by GOP candidates throughout the campaign, will lose her post and likely be succeeded by Minority Leader John Boehner.
Republicans were also off to a strong start on the Senate side, picking up three Senate seats from Democrats and holding down a number of others — giving no ground as they look for big gains Tuesday night.

Nevada's unions are out in force for Sen. Harry Reid on election day, targeting their members who didn't cast their ballots in early voting. Analysts see them as Reid's potential ace in the hole. The SEIU is even paying members to work canvassing for Harry Reid.

Ruh-Roh…. This wasn't supposed to happen. Chris Coons shot out an email to supporters today begging them to get out to the polls.
But… But… This race was supposed to be a lock?
Christine O'Donnell sliced the Bearded Marxist's lead in half in one week.
The Wall Street Journal reported, via Free Republic:
Most polls have predicted that the closely watched Delaware Senate race between Democrat Chris Coons and Republican tea-party favorite Christine O'Donnell was going to be anything but close. One poll last week had Mr. Coons up by 10 points, while all the others gave him a far more comfortable margin.
But Democrats in Delaware remain skittish.
In a noon email alert to supporters, Coons campaign manager Christy Gleason said close monitoring of voter turnout in the state's 41 representative districts showed "lower turnout in New Castle and Kent counties than we're comfortable with."
To win, Mr. Coons will have to get heavy support from Democrats and independents in New Castle, the state's most populous county. In the primary, Ms. O'Donnell drew heavy support from the state's other two counties, Kent and Sussex, which skew more to the right.

The Obama-Pelosi-Reid Regime tripled the national deficit in one year.
(The Captain's Comments)
They've damaged the economy for years to come.
They doubled the unemployment rate from where it was when they took over Congress.

48 of 50 states have lost jobs since they rammed through their Trillion dollar stimulus bill. The Obama-Pelosi economic plan resulted in a cumulative 7.5 million jobs deficit. In fact, Barack Obama is the worst jobs president since the Great Depression.
Today, Americans will give the Obama-Pelosi regime some feedback.
52% of voters believe today's election is a referendum on Obama's failed agenda.
Rasmussen reported:
Most voters say today's election is a referendum on President Obama's agenda and that he should change course if Republicans win control of the House. But most also don't expect him to make that change.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters believe this election is more a referendum on the president's agenda than about individual candidates and issues. Thirty-eight percent (38%) disagree and say the candidates and issues are paramount. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Only 40% of voters think the president should continue to pursue the same agenda if Republicans gain control of the U.S. House of Representatives as many analysts predict. Fifty-six percent (56%) say Obama should change course in response to the election results.
However, two-out-of-three voters (66%) expect the president not to change but instead to continue to pursue his same agenda if Republicans win control of Congress. Nineteen percent (19%) believe he will change course, but 15% more are not sure.
How can 40% of Americans actually think that Obama should continue down this disastrous road? Really?
You dared to question their authority. You dared to condemn their failed policies. So they attacked you and smeared you and slandered you.
Now it's your turn to speak out.

One man is dead and two individuals are wounded after a shooting in Pittsburg, New Hampshire.
A local school is on lockdown and the polling station was shut down.
The Union Leader reported:
One man is dead and another man and woman seriously injured in a shooting incident Tuesday morning on Main Street.
Mia West, safety officer at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital, said a man and woman were brought to the hospital. Both were stabilized but the woman is being taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland while the male patient is being flown to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
The shooting reportedly happened at the Lake Francis General Store, 1624 Main St.
The deceased male is also on site, she said, and was found in a car allegedly torched by the shooter who reportedly is in custody after being picked up on Back Lake Road.

VOTE OUT THE REGIME
He must be stopped.
Do not forget how the Democrats ignored us, millions in the streets, at their offices, on the mall, in the public square, begged the moochers and the looters not to nationalize the banks, segments of the automotive biz, healthcare. REMEMBER.
Remember how he rewarded the SEIU and ACORN thugs with your taxpayer dollars.
Remember GITMO and the persecution of the CIA agents that saved thousands of lives.
Remember the Black Panther intimidation and Obama's Department of Justice's racism.
Remember the rules of engagement that are killing our boys and girls in Afghanistan.

Channeling their inner Biden.
Until now, the Associated Press has actually done a credible job on economic reporting — but then again, this is a political analysis, not economic reporting, and it shows. Paul Wiseman asserts that electing Republicans in the House will extend the current economic stagnation, thanks to increased uncertainty about regulation and tax policy. Somehow that [...]
Biden was in Delaware. Drew just 200 people. Let's do the math:
That makes 195 people there because they had to be. Net audience to hear the Vice President: 5. And of those 5, 3 were Tea Party members.
Voters in Arizona, Colorado and Oklahoma will have the chance Tuesday to reject the new health care law's central provision to require almost everyone to have health insurance or face a tax penalty beginning in 2014.
Ballots in the three states include proposed amendments to the states' constitutions that would prohibit the enforcement of the individual mandate and other provisions of the law. They mirror a measure that Missouri voters approved by more than 70 percent in August. Legislatures in several other states, including Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana and Virginia, have also passed state laws with similar language.
It really does suck to Obama today. Oh, hey, Barry, any refrain of "I won" coming???
Report: Minnesota AFSCME public employees were seen this past weekend bringing mentally challenged individuals into the polling stations.
Election Integrity Watch reported:
This video documents a case of potential voter fraud that occurred in Crow Wing County. On Friday, October 29th, 2010, a member of the Minnesota Freedom Council witnessed apparent voter fraud occurring at the Crow Wing County Courthouse in Brainerd, Minnesota.
Upwards of 100 residents from a local group home for mentally disadvantaged individuals were brought into the County Courthouse to cast absentee ballots. The witness reported that supervisors were telling voters to cast a straight Democrat ticket. There was even a report of a voter prematurely leaving the voting both and a supervisor casting the ballot for the voter. Essentially, the people in-charge were taking advantage of the mentally disabled in order to bolster the vote for their candidates of choice. These individuals involved can be charged with a felony under Minnesota election laws.
Formal complaints are in the process of being filed with the Crow Wing County Attorney.

In late October 2008, Barack Obama released his "Defining Moment" video:
"Are you better off than you were four years ago?"
Now we have an answer…
75% of Americans say "NO!" they are not better off. This is the highest number since the mid-1970s.
CNN reported:
The number of Americans who say things are going badly in the country, at 75 percent, is higher than it has been on the eve of any midterm election since the question was first asked in the mid-1970s, according to a new national poll.
A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Monday also indicates that the economy remains, by far, the top issue on the minds of Americans. Fifty-two percent of people questioned say the economy's the most important issue facing the country.
"That's more than the deficit, education, health care, terrorism, energy, illegal immigration and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq combined," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. "No other issue was named as the country's top problem by more than 8 percent."
Today is the day… It's Election Day 2010.
It's "We the People" versus Big Government tyranny.
Will the Obama-Pelosi regime be smiling tonight?
Will they be given a pass for their failures and corruption?
Will these hoodlums continue to march roughshod over the will of the people? Or, will the American people stand up and claim liberty over tyranny? Will the American people choose freedom over servitude? Will Americans choose individual responsibility over big nanny statism? Will Americans choose capitalism over socialism?
Never forget.
The Cook Report's final report shows a 50-60 seat Republican gain. It will be historic.
