I Want Your Money

This definitely looks promising:

I Want Your Money is opening all over the place (although apparently not in moonbat-dominated NYC, LA, or Chicago) on October 15, perfectly timed to set us in the right frame of mind to begin turning back socialism on November 2.

Reverse Racism and Corruption? Government Commission going after Obama Administration again

RWB News: Last week an Obama-appointed Federal commission to investigate the BP oil spill reported that Obama and his administration were "not honest" with the public and were incompetent when it came to the oil spill.  This week, the Civil Rights Commission has to deal with the "transparent" Obama administration by requesting more information concerning allegations of racism in the DOJ.

The Obama Justice Department can put an end to one of many scandals shadowing this administration. Did the DOJ tell employees not to investigate Civil Rights Violations when the victims were white?  In 2008 members of the New Black Panther Party stood in front of voter polling stations, some members armed with billy clubs, intimidating voters. This is the same Black Panther Party that recently showed members on video preaching to "kill cracker babies,"  and the same ones that had dinner with Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad last month.

A Justice Department supervisor who recommended pursuing a voter intimidation case against members of the New Black Panther Party testified that the Department of Justice Civil Rights division had engaged in reverse racism, refusing to bring charges in voting cases unless the victim is a minority.

After a 5-1 vote Friday, the commission will be asking Eric Holder on Tuesday to allow Justice Department employees to testify in its investigation — of which they cite "deep-seated and shockingly common attitudes favoring racially-selective enforcement of the law." Since 2009, the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights has sought information from the Department of Justice, much of which the department refused to provide despite its statutory obligation to 'cooperate fully' with such commission requests," the letter says. "Our original aim was to determine the reasons for and implications of DOJs dismissal of most of the New Black Panther Party voter intimidation lawsuit and its narrow injunction against the remaining defendant." Many people are asking why would Eric Holder not allow members of his Voting Rights Section to answer a few simple questions under oath if there were nothing to hide?

This controversy is about the integrity of the voting process, which is the heart of our constitutional republic.

(Washington Times) The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights wants Attorney General H. Holder Jr., to allow Justice Department employees to testify in its investigation of "deep-seated and shockingly common attitudes favoring racially-selective enforcement of the law" within the department's Civil Rights Division.

The request is outlined in a letter to be delivered Tuesday to Mr. Holder, following a 5-1 vote Friday by the commission, seeking additional testimony and documents in its investigation of the department's handling of the New Black Panther Party case.

"Since June 2009, the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights has sought information from the Department of Justice, much of which the department refused to provide despite its statutory obligation to 'cooperate fully' with such commission requests," the letter says. "Our original aim was to determine the reasons for and implications of DOJ's dismissal of most of the New Black Panther Party voter intimidation lawsuit and its narrow injunction against the remaining defendant.

"Our current focus is on the following systemic issue: the growing evidence of a culture of hostility in the Civil Rights Division to the race-neutral enforcement of the civil rights laws that may involve both supervisory attorneys and some of your political appointees," it says.

The Justice Department has ordered employees subpoenaed by the commission for testimony to refuse to appear and has offered what the commission has called "questionable and sweeping privilege claims" in refusing to turn over documents sought as part of the probe.

"Notwithstanding that interference, the commission has heard from eyewitnesses detailed allegations of malfeasance in the Civil Rights Division, which are at war with its core mission," the letter says, noting the testimony of Christopher Coates, former chief of the voting rights section, and J. Christian Adams, lead prosecutor in the New Black Panther case.

Mr. Coates testified Sept. 24 in defiance of the Justice Department prohibition that his supervisors said they were not interested in pursuing Voting Rights Act accusations against minorities who harass white voters. He said many within the Civil Rights Division "believe, incorrectly but vehemently, that enforcement of the VRA should not be extended to white voters but should be limited to protecting racial, ethnic and language minorities."

Mr. Coates has since been reassigned as an assistant U.S. attorney in South Carolina.

Mr. Adams, who left the department, testified July 6 that Justice Department officials instructed Civil Rights Division attorneys to ignore cases that involved black defendants and white victims. He said that "over and over and over again" the department showed "hostility" toward those cases.

He said the department had "abetted wrongdoing and abandoned law-abiding citizens."

The Justice Department has said it is "committed to comprehensive and vigorous enforcement of both the civil and criminal provisions of the federal laws that prohibit voter intimidation."

The Civil Rights Commission, in its letter, said testimony and affidavits it has received suggest "a broad culture of hostility to race-neutral enforcement of the civil rights laws," and asked Mr. Holder for "a thorough investigation and specific confirmation, refutation or detailed explanations … that the laws are properly enforced without regard to race."

In its letter, the commission also asked Mr. Holder:

• To waive any purported privilege that might apply to the commission's requests and promptly supply all the documents, e-mails and other material that have been withheld.

• To instruct Mr. CoatesMr. Adams and other current or former employees who may come forward with similar information or accounts of malfeasance that they may testify freely.

• To instruct all other department employees the commission may subpoena to cooperate fully by turning over all responsive documents and testifying without restraint.

A civil complaint had been filed in the New Black Panther Party case by the voting rights section in January 2009 in Philadelphia after two of its members in black berets, black combat boots, black shirts and black jackets purportedly intimidated voters with racial insults, slurs and a nightstick. A third party member was accused of managing, directing and endorsing their behavior. The incident was captured on videotape.

Four months later, the Justice Department dropped the charges, saying "the facts and the law did not support pursuing" them.

Twittergate: Democrats Hire Twitter Thug to Slander Tea Party

Below is the video exposing the lowdown tactics by "progressives" on Twitter.

Warning: This video contains uncensored and highly offensive content originally published by those working for Democratic candidates

Who is Neal Rauhauser?

Neal Rauhauser goes under the name StrandedWind on Twitter. On 31 August, 2010, he set up a new account under the name WingnutWatch on Twitter. He  has a total of an estimated 100 Twitter accounts that he uses for his special "lobbying"...

In 2010, Rauhauser and colleague Beth Becker were speakers at the Netroots Nation conference. The two are also both contributors to the leftist blog, Daily Kos. Rauhauser also goes under the name SacredCowTipper on The Oil Drum website: "discussions about energy and our future". He goes under the names SacredCowTipper and StrandedWind at the Wiser Earth website.

In August 2009, Daily Kos bloggers and members of the Blog Workers Industrial Union came together following the Netroots Nation conference. Among those present were Rauhauser and Becker, together with Larry Bruce and Ben Masel. At this meeting, a company named Progressive PST (Progressive Politically Strategic campaigns for Twitter) was formed. This company engages in social-media activity (primarily making use of Twitter) for the benefit of progressive campaigns. Currently, Rauhauser, Becker and Bruce work for the company, which is based in Washington, D.C.

Current and former clients of Progressive PST include:
With a personal vendetta against the Tea Party (as you see in the profile information of the WingNut Watch Twitter account), Rauhauser set out to deliberately provoke conservatives to make offensive comments by instigating a number of personal attacks against them. "The idea was to antagonize, collect and present selected responses as proof of "extremism" within the Tea Party," writes the procucer of the above video.

Among those on WingnutWatch's "Enemies of the Government Hit-List" were: Ted Nugent, Pat Dollard, Smart Girl Politics Group, The Twisters Group, and various Tea Party members and Conservative bloggers. Rauhauser brought in several other Twitter users to his scheme.

The producer of the video (Kritspit on YouTube) presents evidence that David Cozad, Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress, 6th District of Texas - knew of Rauhauser's reprehensible activities on Twitter, yet did nothing about it. Cozad is a client of Rauhauser's company, Progressive PST.

For more information, and evidence of the deplorable messages sent out on Twitter by Rauhauser and his friends, see the post at The Swift Read blog.

Top US Communist - "Our Country is in the Midst of a Power Struggle"

Tony Pecinovsky is a prominent member of the Communist Party USA. He is currently district "staffperson" for the Missouri/Kansas Communist Party.

Pecinovsky is the Bureau Chief of the Missouri / Kansas Friends of the People's World. He serves as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Greater St. Louis Communication Workers of America Council and Secretary of St. Louis Jobs with Justice. He is also a Newspaper Guild delegate to the St. Louis Central Labor Council, a St. Louis Progressive Vote Coalition board member and is a big Barack Obama supporter.

Tony Pecinovsky is a propagandist and a student of power politics. He understands the balance of forces now in play in American politics and the high stakes being played for.

In today's Peoples World,  Pecinovsky  lays it on the line for his Party comrades.

The looming mid terms will either lead to: a resurgent extreme right-wing Republican Party (which will) use every trick in the book to curtail democratic rights, workers' rights and continue the failed policies of the Bush Administration, but worse.

Or an advance in the; struggle for immediate reforms and long-term systemic change.

In Tea Party terms , the elections will lead to either a last  chance to restore a free American republic, or a major, possibly irreversible,  advance towards socialism.

Writes Tony Pecinovsky;
Ultimately, whether we are aware of it or not, our country is in the midst of a power struggle. And any honest analysis of the direction of our country has to take into account the balance of political power.
Power is the ability to control, create or prevent change. As such, any talk of change has to also deal with questions of political power. Without an understanding of this power, we are ill equipped to engage fully in the process of change.

In other words, if we don't objectively understand our - and our enemies' - strengths and weaknesses, how can we understand which terrain of struggle is most conducive to victory or defeat? Simply put, if we fail to conduct a proper power analysis, how do we know if we should be on the offensive or the defensive; how do we know if we are ready as a movement for more substantive change, or if we are facing a period of prolonged retrenchment?
At this moment, tens of thousands of union members, activists and community leaders are engaged in what could be a decisive moment in our nation's history - the mid-term elections. Make no mistake about it: this is a question of power, of people and money mobilized.

At the same time, Wall Street CEOs, big banks and the health care industry are spending hundreds of millions of dollars to influence the outcome of the November elections, while activating fringe elements in their right-wing base. No question, this is a fight for political power - from the other side.

So let's be clear about one thing: The mid-term elections are about power - the power to move our country forward or to take us backwards. Anyone who doesn't see that is missing the forest for the trees.

Furthermore, if we aren't united, energized, enthusiastic and mobilized, if we lack the power to win the most immediate of struggles that we are confronted with - most importantly the mid-term elections - then all other possibility of more far-reaching reforms are jeopardized, as we will likely see a resurgent extreme right-wing Republican Party use every trick in the book to curtail democratic rights, workers' rights and continue the failed policies of the Bush Administration, but worse.

So the only question for us (left, progressive and working-class folks) should be: What am I going to do between now and November 2? How many doors am I going to knock? How many people am I going to call? Who am I going to mobilize, energize and activate between now and November? What am I going to do to make sure that we can continue to move forward as a nation?

Any other question at this moment ignores the real, objective balance of political power and does a disservice to the struggle for immediate reforms and long-term systemic change.
The communists understand what they and Party "friend" Barack Obama are fighting for.

Do you? What about your family, friends, neighbors and colleagues?

Better tell them fast.

Another joke: Obama Says `Crumbling’ Infrastructure Hinders Growth

So now the lack of economic growth is because, what, we can't drive to work?  What is this clown talking about this time?

"Crumbling" roads, bridges, airports and rail lines are hindering U.S. economic growth, Obama said after meeting with members of his Cabinet, former transportation secretaries, as well as governors and mayors from around the country.

Let's see.  Since government cannot create jobs, and roads are maintained by the government, if the government deficit spends to fix roads, then what?  Our tax burden increases to pay off the debt?  More union whores get jobs?

How does he create a nexus between roads – over which I have no trouble driving, including bridges and tunnels – and the lack of economic growth?

Oh, I get it.  I see.  The reason is that the lack of economic growth, therefore, ergo, and to wit, is not his problem.  He just inherited it. The fractured economy of which he made a shambles is not his fault.

Utterly and completely pathetic.  Shut up, Barry.

The President’s Nun: Obamacare Scranton Scandal Explodes

A mushrooming political battle over ObamaCare involving the White House, two incumbent Pennsylvania congressmen, three Catholic hospitals and a nun has just exploded in, of all places, Scranton, Pennsylvania.

By at American Spectator

EXCERPTS:

There are two issues at the core of the controversy.

1. ObamaCare and the sale of three Scranton-area Catholic hospitals.

2. The re-election prospects of the two House members, Democrats Paul Kanjorski and Chris Carney, both of whom cast key votes to pass ObamaCare.

Here's the list of players — major and minor — so far.
• The President of the United States.
• The Vice President of the United States.
• Three Scranton-area Catholic hospitals suddenly for sale.
• The CEO of the three Scranton-area Catholic hospitals for sale.
• ObamaCare, otherwise known as "health care reform" or the "Affordable Care Act."
• A Catholic nun.
• Michigan Congressman Bart Stupak.
• A pen.
• Victoria Reggie Kennedy, widow of the late Senator Ted Kennedy.

No votes for GI’s -they’re probably conservatives anyway

FoxNews.com first reported Sunday that New York had not mailed out absentee ballots to all its 320,000 military servicemen and women and overseas voters, in clear violation of the MOVE Act. As of Monday at noon, the ballots still had not been sent.

By Jana Winter 10/11/2010 at FOXNews.com

EXCERPTS:

FoxNews.com's calls and e-mails to Board of Elections officials and staff were not returned for the second day in a row.  The board's offices are closed for Columbus Day.

According to the 2009 MOVE Act, a state must send out its military and overseas ballots 45 days prior to elections.

New York was granted a waiver to this deadline by the Department of Justice and given an additional 15 days — until October 1 — to send out all its ballots. On October 5, New York State Board of Elections co-directors informed federal officials that the state had not fully met its extended deadline, according to an e-mail posted online at FVAP.gov, the website of the Defense Department agency tasked with overseeing military voting.

"This is the latest in a cascade of ineptitude by the Department of Justice. Military voters and their families should be enraged," said Adams, who now is a conservative blogger.

"A credible enforcement operation would have detected problems on October 2.  DOJ didn't detect it, and almost two weeks later, the situation has become critical in New York and other states.  The only place they have sued to enforce the law?  Guam. "

"An Exercise in Power" - the Evil Empire Strikes Back

The Communist Party USA and Democratic Socialists of America have realized their mistake.

After working hard to elect their long time friend and ally, Barack Obama in 2008, the marxists relaxed a little and waited for "change" to come. They didn't figure on the level of resistance their programs would generate via Glenn Beck, the Tea Party movement and  patriotic elements in the Republican Party.

Realizing that their socialist agenda hangs in the balance, the Communists and D.S.A. are working overtime to re-invigorate the Obama coalition - both  to counter the Tea Party and to keep the Democrats in power after the looming mid term elections.

Discounting the obvious lies and propaganda, there is a serious message in this article on D.S.A. official, Eliseo Medina from the from the Communist Party USA's latest Peoples World.
The 567 organizations and groups that turned out several hundred thousand people for the "One Nation" march in Washington on Oct. 2 will try to stay together to work on each other's causes after the Nov. 2 election, a top union participant says.

In an interview with Press Associates during the march, new Service Employees International Union secretary-treasurer Eliseo Medina added that for many of the groups involved, it would mean "getting out of the silos" of their own causes.

The coalition, including SEIU, the AFL-CIO, AFSCME, the teachers, the National Nurses Union, the Communications Workers, the Transport Workers Union and many other national and local unions, got behind the march for two reasons.

One was to show that progressives can muster more numbers than the radical right tea party zealots of radio talker Glenn Beck and GOP politician Sarah Palin. They led a similar march at the Lincoln Memorial - site of the Oct. 2 rally - several weeks before.

The other was to energize the progressive forces for the final days of the 2010 election campaign.
Medina made it clear the coalition will extend beyond the election. "This is an exercise in power," he explained...

Medina admitted that energy and enthusiasm among progressives had slacked off in the last two years, after the 2008 election brought Democratic President Barack Obama into office, accompanied by Democratic majorities in Congress - all elected with heavy labor support.

"There was such a sense of excitement in 2008. We forgot and left everything to Obama," he said.

"But then we saw issue after issue - health care, tax cuts for the middle class, immigration reform - go down" to Senate GOP filibusters and obstructionism. The groups then "realized we had to do something, but organizing takes time," veteran organizer Medina admitted.
The left knows exactly what is at stake here.

The Tea Party and its allies also understands that this election could decide the future of America for ever.

The big question is - which way will the center vote  in November?

It Begins. Federal Employees Union Releases Series of Offensive “Teabagger” Election Ads (Video)

If you can't beat them- insult and attack them…

The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) released this "teabagger" election ad this week. They hope that by smearing all of those limited government protesters with an offensive sexual innuendo these patriots will stay home on election day.

And, of course, they don't care that these vile ads are playing on the internet and are heard on the radio so your children can learn how to be mean and rude, too.
(Notice the "teabagger" cheering section)

These radical union thugs are also airing ads on the radio where they openly attack the "teabaggers."
Here's one of their offensive ads that is playing in the St. Louis area.

TEXT OF AFGE RADIO AD

Tea party supporter:

Get government off our backs! We're going to take our country back!

John Gage:

That sounds good. But is this the time for bumper sticker solutions?

The Republican tea party Pledge to America says, Cut taxes for the rich and cut government. Some have even said, Close the government down. Then what?

Food and mine inspection – gone.

Forget about border patrol or keeping terrorists locked up.

And returning veterans? Give them a cheap voucher instead of a quality VA hospital.

Let's dump in the rivers and pollute the air again.

And the tea bagger chanting, "Keep your hands off my Medicare." Sorry. Medicare will be whacked hard. The same for Social Security.

Schools, police and fire departments will disintegrate.

So Republican tea party folks, then what?

We're all angry and frustrated. But when you vote, remember who got us into this mess in the first place.

Announcer:

It's a good thing the democrats bailed these thugs out so they can keep playing these ads on the air all month.

Video of Dick Blumenthal (D-CT): Our Lawsuits Create Jobs

As a former resident of Connecticut, I don't think this is what the state's residents have in mind in terms of job creation:
Video via Ace of Spades via Maggie's Farm. Comments the Barrister:
He's rich and plays in politics because his father-in-law owns the Empire State Building, and presumably supports his life style. ... What a weenie putz.

Linda has created jobs, built a large business, and knows how the world works.

You don't approve of wrestling entertainment? Then what job-creating, profitable biz could any candidate have been in that you would approve of?

How different is wrestling from MSM news? We need more entrepreneurs in government, and fewer professional politicians who know nothing except government. Government is a parasite. Blumenthal has been on the government teat all of his life - and I assume, the teat of his in-laws. It's all ego for him because he has never done anything real in his life.
Connecticut is a blue state, but it's shaping up to be one heck of a red year. And CT needs it. Why would they elect such an Obama rubber-stamp?

Columnist: New Cartoon Brings Muslim ‘Indoctrination’ to Your Kids

Last month, we brought you the story of a Muslim comic book hero who will save the world using his silver wheelchair. That may not have been too controversial. However, the latest attempt to animate Islamic crime-fighters is sparking enough controversy to make up for the former's relative obscurity.

"Hide your face and grab the kids. Coming soon to a TV in your child's bedroom is a posse of righteous, Sharia-com pliant Muslim superheroes — including one who fights crime hidden head-to-toe by a burqa." That's how New York Post columnist Andrea Peyser introduces "The 99," a new animated show featuring Islamic superheros set to debut in January on The Hub, formerly Discovery Kids.

In April, President Obama praised the character's creator Naif al-Mustawa, saying that his "superheroes embody the teachings of the tolerance of Islam":

So what has Peyser upset if the characters are so "tolerant?" It's the comic's strict adherence to Sharia law, and that fact that "a secular nation" could "endorse a children's show aimed at pushing one religion," that has her sounding the alarm of "indoctrination."

"These Islamic butt-kickers are ready to bring truth, justice and indoctrination to impressionable Western minds," she says, citing the aforementioned burqa requirement ("hair-hiding head scarves are mandatory for five characters, not including burqa babe Batina the Hidden") and also the cartoon's refusal to ever show a man and woman together alone.

As more evidence, Peyser points out the cartoon has met the approval of a "Sharia board — which polices Muslim law — affiliated with an Islamic bank from which the show received financing." And while she fails to mention the board or the bank, she does quote a Times of London columnist who wrote last year that the show's mission was "to instill old-fashioned Islamic values in Christian, Jewish and atheist children."

But not everyone is up in arms. Gawker seems to side with the president, and suggests Peyser is overreacting to the not-yet-aired show. "Andrea Peyser has uncovered the latest plot by radical Islamic fascists to brainwash good Christian children into bomb vest-wearing terror robots: a Saturday morning cartoon. With Muslims in it! Isn't that illegal, here in the USA?"

In August, CNN.com featured a video of Naif Al-Mutawa, a psychologist, explaining the idea behind his comic:

He explains in a subsequent article that his comic is a reaction against a sermon he heard from an imam "railing against the foreign enemies of Islam and the sinners within."

"It is finally time that all of us became more accountable for that which our children will be hearing," he writes, "tiny differences setting us apart rather than celebrating those positive things that bind all good people together."

So what do you think? A show with heroes who happen to be Muslim, and have to adhere to its laws, celebrating similarities instead of differences. Or, an attempt to make Islam appealing to "impressionable Western minds?"

New York Times Reluctantly Notes Seniors Losing Medicare Benefits, Denies It's a Problem

This morning's editorial in the New York Times notes that "some of the private health plans that participate in Medicare will be dropping out next year, but don't blame health reform." Indeed, according to the Times, "the Medicare Advantage market remains strong." Well, maybe -- but that's only for 2011.

What the Times avoids is the fact that Obamacare's Medicare Advantage cuts don't start until 2012, after which time private plans will be collapsing left, right, and center. A recent analysis by Robert A. Book and James C. Capretta forecasts that 7.4 million seniors will lose their benefits by 2017.

Obamacare froze Medicare Advantage benchmarks for 2011 at the 2010 level, which invites the question of why some plans are already bailing out. At a conference a few days ago, an employee of the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently wagged a finger at me for trafficking the news that Massachusetts's second-largest carrier, Harvard Pilgrim, was dropping out of Medicare Advantage.

The finger-wagging Obamacrat noted that Harvard Pilgrim's First Senior Freedom Plan is a Private Fee-For-Service (PFFS) Medicare Advantage plan. Such plans are suffering from changes enacted before Obamacare, and I myself have criticized them a study published last year.

As that study noted, the most important advantage of Medicare Advantage is that insurers negotiate their own networks with providers, instead of using the government's Soviet-style fixed-price schedules, which have led a number of providers to cut back or cease providing care to seniors. The so-called "unjustified subsidies," which the Times and the Obama administration attack, actually reduce the "hidden tax" (or cost shift) that Medicare imposes on the privately insured. This hidden tax results from providers increasing their fees to private payers to cover underpayment from traditional Medicare.

Medicare Advantage PFFS plans, however, did not have to negotiate networks with providers, but "free rode" on the government's fee-schedule, so they do not provide as great a benefit as other Medicare Advantage plans. Nevertheless, they protected seniors from Medicare's unlimited out-of-pocket costs, so nobody should look at their disappearance with satisfaction.

Seniors who retain Medicare Advantage plans in 2011 should not be fooled into thinking that they have dodged Obamacare's cuts to Medicare. Unless Obamacare is repealed, their time will come.

320,000 Disenfranchised New York Military Voters = Pure Evil

320,000 disenfranchised voters. And President Obama is worried about foreign money to the Chamber of Commerce?

Our military men and women put their lives on the line and they're not being allowed to vote because of bureaucratic nonsense, malfeasance, or straight up election fraud. This is an abomination and calls into question whether New York City can even have a free and fair election.

This is not new. And seems almost….purposeful.

It needs to be solved. NOW.

Why China has to steal military technology … well, until Obama

Communist China needs to steal technology, including military, for the same reasons the USSR did, as this excerpt pointedly describes:

But is China vulnerable to such a linkage policy? The short answer is yes because Communist China, like its Soviet predecessor, has hit the innovation roadblock. In his 1968 essay directed to his country's leadership, the premier Soviet nuclear scientist Andrei Sakharov warned "that a society that restricts intellectual freedom and prevents the free exchange of ideas would be unable to compete with societies that unleash the creative potential of their people." He went on to compare the race between the US and the USSR to one between two cross country skiers traversing deep snow. If the dictatorships seem to be catching up fast, it is only because they follow in the tracks already smoothed out by democracies. Lack of freedom consigns "fear societies" to the role of followers, never leaders since "a fear society must parasitically feed off the resources of others to recharge its batteries."

The United States may have been weak over the years in stopping the theft – at least two weapons-lab incidents come to mind, as well as a fallen missile, which they graciously delayed us from retrieving until after they scavenged the circuit boards.  But we have refrained from selling them military technology, although those restrictions were a favorite of President Clinton's to loosen.

Concerning aircraft, President Reagan sold them the S-70, a civilian version of the Blackhawk helicopter (UH-60), and then a few years later cut off repair parts when China wasn't playing well with others.

Now comes the C-130, a versatile cargo transport.  Although the original model is 50 years old, it's been upgraded numerous times, and is in wide military use throughout the world.  It is also legions beyond anything China presently uses.

So, hey, let's sell them some!  I mean, they can only use it to transport troops and equipment that short 150-mile jaunt of open water to Taiwan.  And with a range easily exceeding 2,000 miles, they can avoid water and pop into any of the neighboring countries within which they love to foster political unrest.  The plane can, after all, land and take off on undeveloped runways.  The sales also bring the operational benefit of matching Taiwan's fleet of C-130s.  It's perfect!

This is stimulus that Barry can get behind!  Too bad it spells d-a-n-g-e-r for everyone else in operational distance.

Secret Service Confirms Book-Throwing Incident, Questions Raised About Streaker

Are the stories of a streaker and book thrower at the president's Philadelphia rally yesterday fabricated? Politics Daily's Tom Kavanagh raises some questions about both incidents.

First, to the video (posted earlier by Scott) showing an apparent slow-mo version of the book assault:

But the video isn't a slam dunk for Kavanagh, who mentions a lack of reporting regarding both the book and streaking incidents:

The Associated Press, the Philadelphia Inquirer and Washington Post made no mention of any such developments in their original reports. And the White House pool reporter saw no indication that they occurred either, Politics Daily's Alex Wagner reports.

And he points out some possible discrepancies:

A photo appearing in the British tabloid the Daily Mail shows a book very clearly passing behind the president's head, though the clarity — such a sharp image would require a very fast shutter speed — is not the only reason to doubt its authenticity: the background behind the president is quite different from the background in the video, and the president appears to be wearing a different shirt than the one he has on in other images. (In addition, his sleeves are rolled up to a different height in the Daily Mail photo.)

But alas, the Secret Service has put bookgate conspiracy theories to rest. According to ABC:

The US Secret Service found and interviewed the man who threw the book onstage. He was deemed to be an "overexhuberant" supporter who wanted the President to have a copy of a book he had written, according the Special Agent Edwin Donovan of the Secret Service in Washington. "He was deemed not to be a threat and was not arrested," Donovan told ABC News.

But that doesn't mean streakergate is over. Kavanagh gives us more food for thought:

Gawker also published a photo of the "streaker," though it's provenance also seems dubious too. Gawker cites a Weekly Standard blogger saying the stunt "captured the attention of . . . an Associated Press photographer," but the photo is credited to Joey "Boots" Bassolino, whose name does not appear in connection to the AP in any other references sought in a Google search. Another blogger calls Bassolino a co-conspirator in the plot to win $1 million from Akli David, said to be the son of a Turkish Coca-Cola bottling company owner.

Where the photo came from is an interesting question. But the incident seems to have happened. Again, ABC humors us:

A White House official travelling [sic] with the President to Philadelphia says the staff was aware of the streaker but did not see his attempt to dash in front of the stage.

Still, true conspiracy theorists won't let that stop them. It could be all part of the cover up, right? The staff was "made aware," but by who? Without seeing the actual streaker, can ABC's report really be considered a confirmation? Were there reports of UFOs in the area? How can you know for sure that there wasn't?

"Whom to believe in all this?" Kavangh asks. "Hard to say, as the incidents could be just another example of the hard-to-pin-down reality of the digital world, in which drawing attention to oneself is sometimes the highest order of business."

He may have just left the conspiratorial door cracked enough for those who want to keep looking. We'll at least continue peeking and let you know.

The Marxist Roots of Obama’s Rage, Part One

The Marxist connection still remains far more controversial than Obama's "anti-colonial" views because of communist parties that engage in subversion and espionage against the United States and use agents of influence to manipulate U.S. policy.

Did GM "Lie" About The Volt?

It seems far less of an all-electric drivetrain vehicle than claimed. It also doesn't seem to post anything like the mileage and range claimed. First of all, let's talk about fuel economy. In August of last year, we heard GM's...

After stimulus failed to stimulate, Obama calls for … more stimulus!

I seriously wonder if the book tossed at Obama's head actually found its mark.  In the Rose Garden this morning, El Presidente again touted a new $48 billion stimulus-lite, this round aimed at "improving infrastructure."

WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama continued Monday his push for new investment in infrastructure, saying his plan to upgrade the nation's roads, railways and runways would immediately put people to work.

"By making these investments across the country, we won't just make our economy run better over the long haul, we'll create good, middle-class jobs right now," he said at a press briefing, just days after news that the U.S. unemployment rate held steady at a steep 9.6% in September.

Citing problems with collapsing bridges and failing levees, the president described the nation's public infrastructure as "woefully inefficient" and "outdated." With so much rebuilding needed, it "makes absolutely no sense" that almost one in five construction workers is still unemployed, he said.

What happened to all the "shovel-ready" projects contained in the original stimulus? Last month, you saw a project-by-project analysis of the regime's "Top 100" stimulus projects, and an estimate of the cost per job "created or saved."  The average cost:  Well over $400,000 per paycheck.

A few examples of the galling waste:

  • The Nevada "Smart Grid" project, worth an estimated $137.9 million, "created or saved" 60 jobs for a per-job average of $2.3 million.
  • A123, a battery manufacturer in Livonia, Michigan used $249 million to build factories that "created or saved" 90 jobs. Average: $2.8 million.
  • The Kansas Broadband upgrade project cost $49.5 million and saved a grand total of nine jobs for a $5.0 million per job average.
  • New dormitories at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi:  $621,000 per job.
  • A new roof for the Bean Federal Center in Indianapolis: $592,000 per job.

We don't have $50 billion to spend on another new, pork-laden bill.  The regime says that this plan "won't add to the deficit," which means raising revenue by increasing taxes or cutting spending in other programs (like, defense, NASA, anti-terrorism, etc).  Furthermore, Obama's plan only calls for spending $48-$50 billion.  That's sure to get a fatter price tag, once the lame duck Congress gets through packing it with pork barrel projects that create or save nine jobs in Kansas.
