New Scientific Evidence Undermines Afghanistan War
PR Newswire

NEW YORK and LOS ANGELES, Sept. 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — On the eve of the 9th anniversary of 9/11, support for the war in Afghanistan took a serious blow today. Simultaneous press conferences were held in New York and Los Angeles to present startling new information refuting the official 9/11 narrative, used to justify the war. Also announced were three major professional groups which have joined the worldwide, and ever-growing, "9/11 Truth Movement."

In a striking show of unity, representatives of "Scientists for 9/11 Truth," "U.S. Military Officers for 9/11 Truth" and "Actors & Artists for 9/11 Truth" presented their findings and unveiled their eye-opening websites. Each non-profit group has launched a petition calling for a new, transparent investigation…..

We Already Knew That: Union Thug Describes Media As "Willing Partners"

As if we didn't already know that the MSM is in cahoots with unions in smearing Republicans and painting positive narratives for Democrats. What's surprising here is that thugs are now openly admitting it. It used to be that the union thugs and the MSM would at least pretend that the media was objective. Or at least just shut up about the plot without telling everyone in earshot. Even the pretense of objectivity is going out the window these days. From the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel via Dan Riehl:
Organized labor is hatching a plan to use prominent Democratic officials and TV ads to pummel Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker over the O'Donnell Park garage accident to try to keep him from being elected governor.

So says a local union official with loose lips who was secretly recorded yakking away outside an east side bar earlier this month.
The article has embedded video (on the left sidebar towards the top), and Dan Riehl has the partial transcript:
2: I work for a union. I work for the Service Employees Union.
1: S…E?
2: SEIU. It's a big janitors union based in Chicago.
2: Yeah, I do political lobbying, communications work, research and media.
1: Oh, so you're like big time in this thing.
2: I'm kinda at the center of like a maelstrom right now in terms of kicking Scott Walker's ass. I've been
kicking Scott Walker's ass for two months now. We've been on TV; we've done all kinds of stuff.
1: You guys did TV?
2: No, We just get Channel 4 to come down with their news cameras and just a …. do news.
1: They seem like they do a pretty good job covering you guys.
2: Pretty good. You've seen that stuff?
1: Well just like the anti-Walker stuff.
2: Yeah, they've been really willing partners in it. They come in with the TV cameras and (channels) 58,
12 come, and 6 doesn't always. But yeah, they've been really helpful. They think it's fun.
1: Do they get the message? Do you think they agree with you?
2: Sometimes. It's not perfect, but yeah, they get our message across.

1: [inaudible]

Stunner… Obama Family Attends Church – Disregards Church Rules

Church rules?… What church rules?

The Obama Family attended church for the first time on Sunday to dispel those Muslim rumors.
The New York Daily News reported:

President Obama attended church on Sunday for the first time since April as an increasing number of Americans believe – falsely – that he is Muslim, not Christian.

The entire First Family walked from the White House across Lafayette Square Park to St. John's Episcopal Church, the quaint house of worship informally known as the Church of the Presidents.

The Obamas sat a few rows back from the altar among about 40 worshipers.

The President and First Lady Michelle Obama, along with their daughters, went up for Communion.

Obama last attended church in Washington on Easter Sunday, April 4.

Of course, the fact that the whole family received Communion shows complete disregard for the Anglican Church rules.
Reader Gini writes:

I'm an Anglican and am enraged Barack Obama and his family received without being confirmed. This is completely against church rules.

Since when did rules mean anything to this bunch in Washington?

UPDATE: Ben Johnson added this on the DC church in the comments:

The Obamas did not violate church discipline, because the church in question is so lax about imposing it. The website for St. John Episcopal Church in Lafayette Park states, "St. John's welcomes all to receive Holy Communion with us." Even at the denominational level, The Episcopal Church and the Anglican communion historically does not require confirmation to receive the Eucharist, welcoming instead "all baptized Christians."

Obama was reportedly baptized by oogady-boogady Reverend Wright at the Trinity UCC.

Hypocrisy: MSM ignoring that Mexico is building their own wall to stem illegal immigration from Guat

Back in May of this year, Mexican President knocked the Arizona law from the White House lawn:
What the MSM have ignored is how stringent Mexico's immigration policy is (more on that later). Well, lo and behold, Mexico is building its own fence along the border with Guatemala to keep out illegals!I kid you not! They are doing the very same thing that they are blasting America for even considering - the securing of our border! And the state-run MSM are totally ignoring it! From The Examiner: Hypocritical Mexico is now building their own wall on border with Guatemala...press ignores
The Inter-Press Sevice (IPS) is reporting that the head administrator of the Mexican Superintendency of Tax Administration, Raul Diaz, has confirmed that his government is building a wall in the state of Chiapas, along the Mexican/Guatemalan border.

The official reason is to stop contraband from coming into Mexico, but as Diaz admitted: "It could also prevent the free passage of illegal immigrants."

According to Mexico's National Commission on Human Rights, 500,000 people from Central America cross into Mexico illegally every year.
And the Guatemalan government is reacting the Mexico's wall just like Mexico is responding to the very idea of our own:
The executive coordinator of the National Bureau for Migration in Guatemala, Marila de Prince, told a local newspaper: "It is not a correct measure being taken by the Mexican government."

...(Erick ) Maldonado (executive secretary of Guatemala's National Council on Migrants) said the wall "is going to make the migrants' situation worse, because to meet their needs they are always going to find blind points where there are no migration or security controls, which implies greater risks."

Vice-President of Guatemala, Rafael Espada, said: "The walls are not the solution to the problems."

Oh yes they are! Which is exactly why Mexico is building one - it works. And Guatemalan officials are complaining that it will make it physically riskier for illegals to commit the crime of crossing into their country. That's right - the criminals might hurt themselves in the act of breaking the law. The IPS news piece can be accessed at this link (hate it when people don't link to sources). But let me use the rest of this post to refresh your memory on what Mexico's immigration policy is all about. From Michelle Malkin: Police state: How Mexico treats illegal aliens
Mexican President Felipe Calderon has accused Arizona of opening the door "to intolerance, hate, discrimination and abuse in law enforcement." But Arizona has nothing on Mexico when it comes to cracking down on illegal aliens. While open-borders activists decry new enforcement measures signed into law in "Nazi-zona" last week, they remain deaf, dumb or willfully blind to the unapologetically restrictionist policies of our neighbors to the south.
The Arizona law bans sanctuary cities that refuse to enforce immigration laws, stiffens penalties against illegal alien day laborers and their employers, makes it a misdemeanor for immigrants to fail to complete and carry an alien registration document, and allows the police to arrest immigrants unable to show documents proving they are in the U.S. legally. If those rules constitute the racist, fascist, xenophobic, inhumane regime that the National Council of La Raza, Al Sharpton, Catholic bishops and their grievance-mongering followers claim, then what about these regulations and restrictions imposed on foreigners?
The Mexican government will bar foreigners if they upset "the equilibrium of the national demographics." How's that for racial and ethnic profiling?
If outsiders do not enhance the country's "economic or national interests" or are "not found to be physically or mentally healthy," they are not welcome. Neither are those who show "contempt against national sovereignty or security." They must not be economic burdens on society and must have clean criminal histories. Those seeking to obtain Mexican citizenship must show a birth certificate, provide a bank statement proving economic independence, pass an exam and prove they can provide their own health care.
Illegal entry into the country is equivalent to a felony punishable by two years' imprisonment. Document fraud is subject to fine and imprisonment; so is alien marriage fraud. Evading deportation is a serious crime; illegal re-entry after deportation is punishable by ten years' imprisonment. Foreigners may be kicked out of the country without due process and the endless bites at the litigation apple that illegal aliens are afforded in our country (see, for example, President Obama's illegal alien aunt — a fugitive from deportation for eight years who is awaiting a second decision on her previously rejected asylum claim).
Law enforcement officials at all levels — by national mandate — must cooperate to enforce immigration laws, including illegal alien arrests and deportations. The Mexican military is also required to assist in immigration enforcement operations. Native-born Mexicans are empowered to make citizens' arrests of illegal aliens and turn them in to authorities.
Ready to show your papers? Mexico's National Catalog of Foreigners tracks all outside tourists and foreign nationals. A National Population Registry tracks and verifies the identity of every member of the population, who must carry a citizens' identity card. Visitors who do not possess proper documents and identification are subject to arrest as illegal aliens.
All of these provisions are enshrined in Mexico's Ley General de Población (General Law of the Population) and were spotlighted in a 2006 research paper published by the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Security Policy. There's been no public clamor for "comprehensive immigration reform" in Mexico, however, because pro-illegal alien speech by outsiders is prohibited.
Read the rest. Also back in May, I had this related post: Audio: Rush Limbaugh Slams Mexico Prez Calderone On Immigration Hypocrisy
Here's the Blitzer interview:
By the way, since it is well known that Detroit is screwed up in a bad way, Laura Berman of the Detroit News has the solution. In essence, she has a fever, and the only prescription is more immigration: Immigrants can help renew Detroit. Detroit is already a sanctuary city. Since Detroit already has a bunch of criminals living there, why not import more criminals? And that's going to help... how?

Sarah Palin urges WHITES to vote for change

This is pure racism, straight up:
Sarah Palin, seeking to fire up an important part of her support base ahead of November's elections, told whites on Saturday she wanted their support to "vote for change" she wants to deliver.
"I need everybody here to go back to your neighborhoods, and your workplaces, to your churches, and barbershops, and beauty shops. Tell them we have more work to do. Tell them we can't wait to organize. Tell them that the time for action is now."
Let me ask you, do you find that offensive? Because I sure do. However, the above quotes have a slight difference from what was actually written by al Reuters. It wasn't Sarah Palin but Rather Barack Hussein Obama who said those things and to black rather than white people. Here's the actual quote:
President Barack Obama, seeking to fire up an important part of his support base ahead of November's elections, told black leaders on Saturday he wanted their support to "guard the change" he was delivering.

"I need everybody here to go back to your neighborhoods, and your workplaces, to your churches, and barbershops, and beauty shops. Tell them we have more work to do. Tell them we can't wait to organize. Tell them that the time for action is now," he told the Congressional Black Caucus.
If you thought that the quote would be inappropriate and racist for Sarah Palin to make specifically to whites, why is it appropriate for Obama to make his statement specifically to blacks? The headline of the al Reuters piece is Obama urges blacks to vote and "guard the change". The Detroit News had the same story but by the AP on their website: Obama: Black lawmakers must rally voters back home. Can you imagine the indignation if the races were reversed and it was Rush or Palin of Newt that said any such thing?

Why Does NY Congressman Meeks Hire Terrorist-Linked Staffers?

According to the NY Post, Congressman Gregory Meeks scolded immigration officials for questioning a Muslim scholar whose nonprofits have been linked to financing terrorism.  Meeks sent the DHS a letter asking why Anwar Hajjaj faced "unwarranted scrutiny" when he returned to the United States from trips abroad through JFK Airport.

Meek's letter ignored the fact that Hajjaj is accused of having terrorist connections.  For example, he headed the Taibah International Aid Association, a charity that has been accused of funding Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda. The group was co-founded by Abdullah A. bin Laden, Osama bin Laden's nephew, who has been investigated for his ties to groups that have funded al Qaeda and Hamas.  But that is only part of the story. What the NY Post isn't telling you is Meek's has this nasty habit of hiring staffers with terrorist ties, Specifically Jihad F. Saleh (who just left his job with Meeks two weeks ago)  and Jameel Aalim- Johnson (former Chief-of Staff)
Jihad F. Saleh, a top congressional aid to U.S. Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY), helping fulfill the legislative goals established by CAIR founder and former chairman Omar Ahmad, who wanted increased Muslim "influence with Congress," by using Muslims on Capitol Hill "to pressure Congress and the decision makers in America" to shift U.S. foreign policy. (P. David Gaubitz and Paul Sperry, The Muslim Mafia, p. 183) Saleh is not just a Congressional staff point man, though. He has been working closely with national CAIR official and convert Corey Saylor to increase the Muslim Congressional presence through the CAIR-backed Congressional Muslim Staffers Association (CMSA).
Jameel Aalim- Johnson, who was Meek's Chief of Staff until 2008 founded the CMSA, Saleh was a key member. Immediately after 9/11, the group began holding Friday afternoon prayer services on Capitol Hill, to lead their prayers they chose Anwar al-Aulaqi, the same al-Qaeda backed "holy man," now hiding in Yemen,  who was associated with the massacre at Fort Hood, the attempted underwear bomber last Christmas, and the attempted Time Square bombing. The video below of Anwar al-Aulaq delivering a sermon to the CMSA in 2002 while he was still in the US is  from the Investigative Project on Terror.

According to the book The Muslim Mafia (page 185) , Salah is spearheading an effort to bring terrorist sympathizers into the US Government.
Saleh has been conducting seminars for "Muslim Professionals" in order to "capitalize' on the change in the oval office, and "ensure that Muslim Americans are prominent in the Obama administration". Unbeknownst to most Washington insiders, Saleh has been collecting resume's from Muslim Brotherhood front groups such as CAIR and ISNA. Over three hundred resume's were bound and sent to the Obama administration, in the hopes of placing more moles into governmental positions. The White House has already hired one of the people from the resume book, Dalia Mogahed, an Egyptian born, veiled Muslim, who is now charged with briefing President  Obama what Muslims want from the US.
CAIR was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Terrorist funding case and as recently as this past March, the FBI reaffirmed this group's terrorist ties. The ISNA was also identified by the Justice Department at the Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing trial as an unindicted co-conspirator and part of the international terrorist organization the Muslim Brotherhood, when they balked at that designation the FBI released the documents to prove the groups association.

Why is a key congressional staffer, such as Jihad Saleh working with terrorist organizations such as CAIR or ISNA. Another question is why is a congressional Chief of Staff introducing a Congressman to terrorist-linked Muslim scholar? According to the Post article referenced above, Anwar Hajjaj was introduced to Meeks through Democratic lawmaker through Jameel Aalim-Johnson.

In 2007 Aalim-Johnson was involved in some controversy because he tried to run a conference in a Capitol Hill Caucus Room which included terror-linked speakers
Originally scheduled to be held at the Caucus Room in the Cannon House Office Building on Capitol Hill, the conference had to be moved to Maryland at the last minute because the Sergeant-at-Arms, the officer responsible for security on Capitol buildings, declined to approve the Conference. The conference is the first part of a two part project for the Foundation, which is planning a major march in Washington after Ramadan.
Salaakhan states that he had confirmed the availability of the Cannon Caucus room with Jameel
Johnson, chief of staff for Congressman Gregory Meeks (D-NY). Salaakhan said that at about 2 pm Friday, August 10, he got a call from Meeks' office stating that the Sergeant at Arms had concerns about the conference, and would not allow it to take place unless Rep. Meeks attended the event. Johnson responded by telling Salaakhan that this appeared to him to be the red-flagging of a Muslim group and that the Sergeant-at-Arms request that Rep. Meeks be at the conference was "unusual and unfair."
What was "unusual and unfair" was the speakers invited to attend the conference were involved in terrorist organizations:
One of the scheduled speakers for the Capitol Hill Muslim Mobilization Conference was Anisa Abd El Fattah, a longtime former employee and past president of the United Association for Studies and Research (UASR), which one convicted terrorist leader described as "the political command for HAMAS in the United States." The organization was one of the US-based organizations found liable in a $156 million federal court judgment in the death of an American teenager killed in a Hamas suicide attack in Israel.

Fattah was the subject of a recent Pajamas Media article describing her covert attempts to be appointed to the Columbus (OH) Public School Board. Fattah has also co-authored two books with the current spokesman for Hamas, Ahmed Yousef, and was a longtime consultant to terrorist leader Abdurahman Alamoudi. Alamoudi was convicted of conspiring with the Libyan government to kill Crown Prince Abdullah, the Saudi royal heir at the time and now the king of Saudi Arabia.
Meeks responded to his letter defending the terrorist-connected Muslim scholar by telling the NY Post,
"As a member of Congress and a proud New Yorker who deeply feels the loss of all families afflicted by the 9/11 attacks, my No. 1 priority is to do everything in my power to ensure the safety and security of all Americans.
If he truly believed that his number one priority is to ensure the safety and security of all Americans, maybe he should take a little more care in picking his staff. Because basted on Jihad F. Saleh and Jameel Aalim- Johnson, Meeks is not properly vetting his staff.

Well, G*d-D*m America Halleluia!… Obama Goes to Church

Well, G-D America Halleluia!… Obama Goes to Church

Of course, the sermon was an attack on wealth, something Barack Obama is quite familiar with.
Drudge reported:

The first family left the White House on foot this morning for the 9am choral holy eucharist service and sermon at St John's Church Lafayette Square.

The Obamas walked out of the residence at 8.49am and crossed the park to the nearby Episcopal church.

The president was wearing a dark suit and held Sasha Obama's hand. She was wearing a blue dress and cream cardigan. Michelle and Malia Obama were wearing cream-colored dresses. (Check photos for accuracy of descriptions. It's sunny and pool was at a distance.)

The service sheet doesn't indicate what the sermon is on but the gospel is Luke 16:1-13, which ends 'You cannot serve God and wealth.'

The "War on Poverty" is lost

I'm going to take a cue from Harry Reid:
The War on Poverty was launched during the time of Lyndon B Johnson with the 'Great Society' legislation  in the 1960s (specifically the Economic Opportunity Act in 1964) that had 2 features: 1) Medicare which is going to bankrupt the country soon, and 2) Welfare which was supposed to be a nuke in the war (it was - just not in the way it was intended). We have supposedly been fighting that war ever since. It's now been 46 years. Trillions of dollars have been thrown at the war. How's it going? It's gotten WORSE in the 46 years of the war. Here's a relevant graphic of poverty rates:
Note from the graphic that poverty was rapidly declining, and that the decline started to turn upwards precisely in 1964. No such rapid decline has been seen since. And it's gotten really bad as news broke this last week of record poverty. From the AP via Yahoo! News: Census: 1 in 7 Americans lives in poverty
The ranks of the working-age poor climbed to the highest level since the 1960s as the recession threw millions of people out of work last year, leaving one in seven Americans in poverty.

The overall poverty rate climbed to 14.3 percent, or 43.6 million people, the Census Bureau said Thursday in its annual report on the economic well-being of U.S. households. The report covers 2009, President Barack Obama's first year in office.

The poverty rate increased from 13.2 percent, or 39.8 million people, in 2008.
Only Obama could hail the numbers as good news:
"Because of the Recovery Act and many other programs providing tax relief and income support to a majority of working families — and especially those most in need — millions of Americans were kept out of poverty last year," Obama said.
It is an unprovable statement of course. By the way, guess which demographic was hardest hit by poverty increases. If you said black people, give yourself a gold star on the forehead. 25.8% of blacks now live below the poverty line. As I have said many times in this blog, welfare replaced the father of the black family with the government, breaking apart families and heralding in an age of illegitimacy in the black community which plagues it to this day. Take Detroit for example where most black babies (>70%) are born to a single mother with no father in sight. Nolan Finley had this in the Detroit News this morning: The three I's of Detroit's decline
Detroit used to make cars. Now it makes poor people. The city pumps out poverty on a three-shift, seven-day cycle.

The raw materials in this factory are ignorance, illegitimacy and isolation.

...Illegitimacy is a direct by-product of ignorance. More than 70 percent of the city's babies are born to unwed mothers, and more than half to teen-agers. There's no greater predictor of poverty. Most Detroit babies are added to the welfare rolls before they leave the delivery room.

...Poverty will wear a "Made in Detroit" label as long as the city wallows in ignorance and illegitimacy and isolates itself from those who might help.
One thing I would change in Finley's piece is putting illegitimacy up to the top, and combining it with welfare programs that encourage the practice. Ignorance and incompetence follow.

It's time for the federal government - one that has no constitutional right to set up entitlement programs anyway under Article 1 Section 8 of the US Constitution - to admit that not only has the War on Poverty been lost, but that they have been fighting on the wrong side of the war the whole time, giving ammunition to growing poverty rather than solving it.

Barack Obama Turns Up Racially Divisive Rhetoric

Remember when Barack Obama was supposed to be the "post-racial" President. It was only 23 months ago that the United States became the first nation in modern history, with a largely white population that has elected a black man to be its leader. Despite the fact that he was elected by a mostly white populace, from day one, any dissension with the policies of this president has been branded as racist. Now in a desperate attempt to save his congressional majority in congress the president, is playing the race card in a big way, using rhetoric aimed at dividing not uniting the population.

His speech at a fundraiser for the  Congressional Black Caucus Foundation hinted that the coming election was a mater of the "GOP vs. Blacks.
With the Republican Party hoping to regain power on Capitol Hill in the November election, Obama described his adversaries as "a crowd ... that wants to do what's right politically, instead of what's right -- period." He never named the opposing party, referring to it as "the other side."

"I need everybody here to go back to your neighborhoods, and your workplaces, to your churches, and barbershops, and beauty shops. Tell them we have more work to do. Tell them we can't wait to organize. Tell them that the time for action is now," Obama said in his remarks.

The first black president also said the recession had struck "with a particular vengeance on African-American communities" and he defended his approach to reviving the sour economy.

Members of "the other side," Obama said, "want to take us backward. We want to move America forward. In fact, they're betting that you'll come down with a case of amnesia. That you'll forget about what their agenda did to this country when they were in charge. Remember, these are the folks who spent almost a decade driving the economy into a ditch. And now they're asking for the keys back."

With polls showing his party facing a wide "enthusiasm gap" with the Republican Party, Obama sought to rally an important constituency in his speech.

"What made the civil rights movement possible were foot soldiers like so many of you, sitting down at lunch counters and standing up for freedom. What made it possible for me to be here today are Americans throughout our history making our union more equal, making our union more just, making our union more perfect," Obama said. "That's what we need again."
The president has been  pushing his divisive "us vs them" message all week. It started on Monday with a  reception for black college officials. It included speeches by the president on Wednesday to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and by first lady Michelle Obama to a black caucus legislative conference that same day. Last week, Obama was interviewed on "The Tom Joyner Show" radio program, which enjoys a large black audience.
Obama told Joyner he knows unemployment has been "brutal," especially among African-Americans, but he compared the economy to a patient recovering from an accident. "It can't run yet, but it's walking," he said.

The president told the Hispanic group he is committed to an immigration overhaul, even though it has stalled in Congress. He blamed GOP opposition and said Hispanic voters should keep that in mind.

"You have every right to keep the heat on me and keep the heat on the Democrats," he said. "But don't forget who is standing with you, and who is standing against you. ... Your voice can make the difference."
The president is not talking issues, ie, this is why we are right...this is why they are wrong. He is setting up his political opponents as the big bad boogie-men/racists trying to hurt minorities, that is not what any leader should be doing, especially the President of the United States.
