No, David Axelrod, business leaders are not a threat to democracy…
The Obama White House is a "threat to our democracy."
David Axelrod, the White House Senior Advisor, told Face the Nation yesterday that the Chamber of Commerce is a threat to our democracy. The Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions.
The Obama Administration decided this year, with the economy in the tank, to attack business leaders.
Here's the ad.
Karl Rove, Ed Gillespie: They're Bush cronies. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce: They're shills for big business. And they're stealing our democracy. Spending millions from secret donors to elect Republicans to do their bidding in Congress. It appears they've even taken secret foreign money to influence our elections. It's incredible: Republicans benefiting from secret foreign money. Tell the Bush crowd and the Chamber of Commerce: Stop stealing our democracy.
Besides the fact that the ad is a complete lie, it is also another attack on American business.
Is beating up on business really their political strategy for the midterm elections?
