Obamunism is one lousy movie we don't have to endure to the end to know how it turns out. Putting moonbats in charge of the economy has already been tried in Michigan, where Canadian-born, Berkeley-trained Jennifer Granholm — a member of Obama's economic advisory team — has harnessed the economy to the liberal troika of taxes, spending, and regulation. Here's how it's turning out:
[Michigan's] median household income fell by more than $12,000 over the last decade — the equivalent of trimming $1,000 from a family's monthly budget.
The drop was stunning in both its size and its singularity: No other state came close to losing the estimated 21.3 percent of its median income between 2000 and 2009, and no state endured the 6.5 percent drop seen from 2008 to 2009.
Not to worry, Governor Granholm will make everything better:
Granholm, speaking Tuesday at a conference on manufacturing in Washington, D.C., said Michigan was creating more than 60,000 new jobs through green programs — many partially funded by federal grants.
One day the federal government will stop propping her up with other states' money for chimerical "green jobs." Fortunately for Granholm, she should be out of office by then.
Not who you want on your president's economic advisory team.
