Obama’s Cousin & Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga Orders Arrest of Gays

In 2006 Barack Obama took a trip to Kenya at US taxpayer's expense.

While visiting Kenya as a guest of the government Obama campaigned with opposition leader socialist Raila Odinga, who claims he is Obama's cousin.

This week Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga ordered a nationwide crackdown on gays this week. The radical Kenyan leader said police should arrest anyone found engaging in such behaviors.
Capital News reported:

Prime Minister Raila Odinga has ordered a nationwide crackdown on homosexuals in Kenya.

Mr Odinga on Sunday said that police should arrest anyone found engaging in such behaviours and take appropriate legal action against them.

"We will not tolerate such behaviours in the country. The constitution is very clear on this issue and men or women found engaging in homosexuality will not be spared," Mr Odinga said.

"Any man found engaging in sexual activities with another man should be arrested. Even women found engaging in sexual activities will be arrested," the premier warned.

Speaking at a public rally at the Kamukunji grounds in his Nairobi's Kibera constituency on Sunday afternoon, the Prime Minister cited the recent population census results which put the ratio of men to women equal and wondered why people should engage in homosexuality.

"This [homosexual] kind of behaviours will not be tolerated in this country. Men or women found engaging in those acts deserve to be arrested and will be arrested," he told a hilarious crowd.

BREAKING---WikiLeaks "Bombshells" Get Early Release

Sometimes even the "leakers" get leaked. Earlier today, a German Twitter user bought a copy of Der Spiegel (cover above)a German news magazine outlining the anticipated document dump from WikiLeak after it was placed on newsstands too early. The "official" released is scheduled by Wikileaks this afternoon at around 4:30 pm EST in at the same time as embargoed articles from The New York Times, the Guardian and Der Spiegel.

According to initial reports in the Jerusalem Post the documents seem to contain more childish name-calling than actual state secrets. 

The documents quoted in the leaked article include nicknames for a number of world leaders. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is referred to as "Hitler," French President Nicolas Sarkozy as a "naked emperor," the German Chancellor is called Angela "Teflon" Merkel and Afghan President Hamid Karzai is "driven by paranoia." Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is an "Alpha Male," while President Dmitry Medvedev is "afraid, hesitant."

The documents also say that North Korean leader Kim Jong Il suffers from epilepsy, Libyan leader Muammar Gaddhafi's full-time nurse is a "hot blond," and Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi loves "wild parties."

"The US sees the world as a conflict between two superpowers," the documents say. "The European Union plays a secondary role."

The article also quotes the State Department as saying that US President Barack Obama "prefers to look East rather than West," and "has no feelings for Europe." No major surprise there either.

If this is the type of information in this document dump then it is more likely fodder for magazines such as US and People than an actual release of documents that could cost lives and damage national security.

Portland Officials Rejected Federal Task Force That Saved City From Massive Terror Attack

The FBI thwarted a bomb plot at the tree lighting at Pioneer Courthouse Square on Friday night. Mohamed Osman Mohamud, 19, a Somali-born U.S. citizen, was arrested 18 minutes before the tree lighting was to occur. (The Oregonian)

Politically correct Portland officials voted not to participate with federal agents in the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force. Federal agents this week saved Portland citizens from a massive terror attack.

In 2005, leaders in Portland, Oregon, angry at the Bush administration's conduct of the war on terror, voted not to allow city law enforcement officers to participate in a key anti-terror initiative, the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force. On Friday, that task force helped prevent what could have been a horrific terrorist attack in Portland. Now city officials say they might re-think their participation in the task force — because Barack Obama is in the White House.

Reading the FBI affidavit describing Islamist terror suspect Mohamed Osman Mohamud's plan to bomb a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Portland's Pioneer Courthouse Square is a chilling experience. Mohamud, a Somali-born naturalized U.S. citizen who attended Oregon State University, told undercover FBI agents he dreamed of performing acts of jihad in which hundreds, perhaps thousands, of Americans would die. "Do you remember when 9/11 happened when those people were jumping from skyscrapers?" Mohamud asked the agents, according to the affidavit. "I thought that was awesome."

In months of preparation with men he thought were co-conspirators but were in fact undercover agents, Mohamud backed up his talk with action. After initially making email contact with Islamist radicals in Pakistan, he took part in constructing what he hoped would be an extraordinarily powerful bomb, scouted the best location for the attack, parked the van containing the bomb near the Christmas tree crowd, and, finally, dialed the cell phone number he believed would detonate the explosives. "I want whoever is attending that event to leave either dead or injured," Mohamud said of the 25,000 people expected to take part in the event.

That Mohamud was arrested and no one was hurt is a testament to good intelligence and law enforcement work. Having Mohamud behind bars has undoubtedly saved lives in Portland; had he not encountered the undercover FBI agents, he might have worked with actual terrorists to construct a bomb, or he might have simply gotten a gun and carried out "an operation here, you know, like something like Mumbai," as he told the agents.

What is ironic is that the operation that found and stopped Mohamud is precisely the kind of law enforcement work that Portland's leaders, working with the American Civil Liberties Union, rejected during the Bush years.

Even after the bomb plot was thwarted this week the former mayor of Portland says there is no need to rejoin the FBI task force.

Doctors: Yeah - ObamaCare really screwed seniors

As part of ObamaCare, there were three aspects that will be the doom of seniors if the whole thing isn't repealed. 1) $500 billion was pulled out of ObamaCare, 2) The 'doctor fix' that was supposed to make permanent a 20% cut in Medicare reimbursement and thus incentivize doctors to drop out of the program, and 3) two death panel boards that will decide what treatments seniors get, and more importantly, what they won't get due to cost. Want an appointment with kidney specialist Adam Weinstein of Easton, Md.? If you're a senior covered by Medicare, the wait is eight weeks.

How about a checkup from geriatric specialist Michael Trahos? Expect to see him every six months: The Alexandria-based doctor has been limiting most of his Medicare patients to twice yearly rather than the quarterly checkups he considers ideal for the elderly. Still, at least he'll see you. Top-ranked primary care doctor Linda Yau is one of three physicians with the District's Foxhall Internists group who recently announced they will no longer be accepting Medicare patients.

"It's not easy. But you realize you either do this or you don't stay in business," she said.

Doctors across the country describe similar decisions, complaining that they've been forced to shift away from Medicare toward higher-paying, privately insured or self-paying patients in response to years of penny-pinching by Congress.

And that's not even taking into account a long-postponed rate-setting method that is on track to slash Medicare's payment rates to doctors by 23 percent Dec. 1. Known as the Sustainable Growth Rate and adopted by Congress in 1997, it was intended to keep Medicare spending on doctors in line with the economy's overall growth rate. But after the SGR formula led to a 4.8 percent cut in doctors' pay rates in 2002, Congress has chosen to put off the ever steeper cuts called for by the formula ever since.

This month, the Senate passed its fourth stopgap fix this year - a one-month postponement that expires Jan. 1. The House is likely to follow suit when it reconvenes next week, and physicians have already been running print ads, passing out fliers to patients and flooding Capitol Hill with phone calls to convince Congress to suspend the 25 percent rate cut that the SGR method will require next year.

All government run plans have one end result - rationing. And what is rationed is that which is most expensive. And those that bear the brunt of the rationing are those that need those expensive procedures but who aren't expected to be paying much in the way of taxes - the elderly. From the bureaucrat's point of view, why care for the elderly that 1) don't pay taxes and 2) aren't going to live much longer anyway? That's liberal compassion, the same that a fetus gets at Planned Parenthood. This is the essence of comparative effectiveness that is at the heart of ObamaCare. Comparative effectiveness, as per Obama's rationing czar 'Dr.' Ezekiel Emanuel, takes only 2 things into consideration when denying or approving treatment: 1) age, 2) cost. Simple as that. Old people are too expensive to be worth keeping alive because they've already paid their taxes and are thus essentially useless to a totalitarian state. Welcome to ObamaCare, where people that don't need treatment get it, and those that need it don't. Step 1? Healthcare plans dropping seniors via the 'doctor fix':

Just recently, the NYT's Paul Krugman said that death panels were needed to balance the budget (ie - kill seniors because they are too expensive). Liberals want you to die if some bureaucrat determines that you are too expensive to treat. By definition a death panel. Democrat Gary McDowell, who lost to Dan Benishek (R) for the seat of disgraced Judas turncoat Bart Stupak in Michigan's 1st Congressional district, admitted to a crowd of supporters that people near the end of their will get kicked down the stairs to save on cost. Even the White House admits that seniors will see higher costs and less benefits, something they wouldn't do in the runup to the unconstitutional boondoggle.

Arkansas Man Arrested in Smyth Co. for Possession of Explosives WSET (hat tip Frank)

Smyth Co.,VA- An Arkansas man was arrested, and charged with multiples counts of manufacturing and possessing explosive devices after a traffic stop in Smyth County.

Around 10:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving State Trooper L. J. Testerman was traveling through Chestnut Ridge Road and Grubmore Road when he observed someone throwing some type of bottles out of a black Ford Ranger pickup. Moments later the trooper heard a loud bang come from the pickup.

Trooper Testerman stopped the pickup truck on Chestnut Ridge Road. After a search of the vehicle the officer found explosive devices.

21-year-old Emad Hatem Abdullah of Little Rock, Arkansas was arrested, and taken to the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon where he is being held on $5,000 bond.

Abdullah has been charged with one felony count of throwing a missile at a vehicle and four counts of manufacturing and possessing an explosive device.

A 20-year-old passenger in the pickup truck from Marion, Virginia was not charged. The Smyth County Sheriff's Office assisted State Police with its investigation into the incident

Iran is Watching Obama's Reaction To North Korea Very Closely: "

The latest crisis on the Korean peninsula will have implications that go way beyond Asia. The reaction by the United States to the North Korean aggression will have an impact on the Middle East. Iran is closely watching the United States' next move with North Korea. If Obama perceived as weak, Iran will be emboldened.



Both North Korea and Iran are tyrannical regimes who have been playing games with Western negotiators for over a decade. The week before it attacked a South Korean Island, the North Koreans boastfully displayed a 2,000 uranium-enrichment centrifuges and the initial construction of a 100-megawatt light-water reactor to visiting American scientists. That was display was meant to a show of power and a thumbing of the nose at the United States.



Thumbing its nose is something North Korea and Iran pride themselves in. Just like the toddler screaming for a toy in the department story, these two rogue nations are testing the limits of the US's tolerance, attempting to gauge how far they can go. With each move and counter-move on the chess board of the Korean peninsula, Tehran is carefully monitoring every nuance of Washington’s response to Pyongyang’s actions.



The Iranians must have been smiling when the US reacted to Pyongyang’s boast about its expanded nuclear program, with an appeasing “This is not a crisis,” from special envoy for North Korea Stephen Bosworth. Especially when you realize that the expanded nuclear development came only eight months after a North Korean submarine sank a South Korean Navy boat.



It needs be remembered that despite heavy sanctions, the number and scale of North Korean provocations has only increased of late. North Korea tests nuclear devices and ballistic missiles, and last March one of its submarines sank a South Korean naval ship killing 46 people.



Four more South Koreans were killed in the North Korean mortar attack last week.



The US response to the mortar attack a Joint-Military exercise without live ammunition, seems tepid. It has also been criticized by China North Korea's only ally and the country who President Obama is counting on to get Pyongyang to toe the line.'We oppose any party to take any military acts in our exclusive economic zone without permission,' Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said in a statement, Xinhua reported.



North Korea responded by deploying SA-2 surface-to-air missiles near its Yellow Sea border with South Korea presumably targeting some of the Airplanes involved in the exercise. Face it, if Kim can thumb his nose at Obama, so can Ahmadinejad. And Ahmadinejad is watching North Korea very carefully he is probably giggling like a little girl at Obama's moves. The most threatening of which was condemning last weeks action as an “outrageous, provocative attack”



North Korea's action is meant to get the United States to give the regime lots of gifts to fall back into place. Its worked many times before. Its time for the US to stand firm and give North Korea nothing. Any gifts to North Korea will be seen as an act of appeasement, especially in Iran.



Here's the scary part, for most of his bravado, Kim is not crazy, just evil. Kim just wants to solidify his family's power over the north. On the other hand Ahmadinejad believes that he has been chosen by Allah to hasten the return of the 12th Imam, the Muslim messiah. The way to achieve this goal for the Iranian president is the occurrence of a nuclear Holocaust. And this is why it is so vital for Ahmadinejad that Iran acquires a nuclear weapon. Nuclear weapons in Iranian hands would make this an exceedingly more insecure world than do such weapons in North Korean possession.



Winning the face-off against North Korea is important to the future of the United States interest not just in the Korean peninsula but in the Middle East. A weak US-led end to the latest case of North Korean would send an important signal to Iran that their aggression will be handled similarly.
