The Pyramid of Frauds: "

One of the fastest growing industries in the world is based on a pyramid of frauds and its inevitable collapse will be worse than the sub-prime crash.

The Global Warming Industry is now fed by billions of dollars from western taxpayers and consumers. It is based on the unproven and now discredited claim that man’s production of carbon dioxide causes dangerous global warming.

The basic fraud is this:

There is no evidence that carbon dioxide controls world temperature – just a theory and the manipulated results from a handful of giant computer models that very few people have checked or understand. But there is clear evidence from historical records of atmospheric carbon dioxide and temperature that carbon dioxide does not control temperature. Rather the reverse – as solar or volcanic heat warms the oceans, the waters expel carbon dioxide. Global warming causes an increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide, not the reverse.

Moreover, every day provides more evidence that current temperatures are not unusually high. Over the past 2000 years there have been two previous eras of warming (“the golden ages”) separated by two mini ice ages (“the dark ages”). Both the Roman Warming and the Medieval Warming were warmer than today and there was no human industry causing that warming.

The next fraud, invoked as the first fraud started to falter, is the claim that carbon dioxide is a pollutant in the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is the food for all plants and thus the food source for all life on earth. It is not poisonous at any level likely to be experienced in the atmosphere and there is clear evidence that more carbon dioxide makes plants grow faster and bigger, and makes them more tolerant of drought, heat and salinity. Current levels are below those optimal for life.

A related scientific fraud is the claim that grazing animals increase atmospheric carbon. Any competent biologist can debunk this fraud by explaining the carbon food cycle.

Built on these frauds are the fraud-riddled carbon credit and carbon trading empires. The revelations of massive fraud in European carbon credits and the collapse of carbon trading on the Chicago Climate Exchange are harbingers of crises yet to surface. Carbon credits have no intrinsic value – they are dependent on political support, and this will always evaporate in time.

The next level of fraud is the alternate energy industry. Despite decades of subsidies and tax breaks the wind/solar power industry cannot survive unless the handouts continue, and their coal competitors are taxed heavily. To call these activities “industries” is a fraud – they are corporate mendicants.

Finally, those who waste millions on projects designed to prove the feasibility of burying carbon dioxide are committing a fraud on taxpayers and shareholders. There are no benefits of burying atmospheric plant food from any source. With zero benefits and huge costs CCS can never be “economic” and it is fraudulent to pretend it can ever be otherwise.

The global warming industry is a huge pyramid of financial and political fraud resting on a quasi-scientific foundation of quicksand.

But growing Republican anger over the amount of business Democrats have crammed into the final weeks of the current legislative session further eroded support for the treaty. Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell and Senator Lindsey Graham both said on Sunday they would vote against the pact.

“If you really want to have a chance of passing START, you’d better start over and do it in the next Congress because this lame-duck has been poisoned,” Graham said, referring to the legislative session that followed the November congressional elections.

But Vice President Joe Biden and other top Democrats expressed confidence they would ultimately have the votes to approve the pact.

“I don’t know whether it was because of a lack of direction from the commander-in-chief or poor negotiation, but one way or another we got snookered,” Kyl said. “We got snookered on missile defense. … We got snookered on tactical nuclear weapons. We got snookered on verification.”

There are so many bad decisions by Barack, and so few good, he cannot simply be treated as another failed leftist president. He must be singled out as almost uniquely wicked, publicly condemned and shamed into permanent exile.

What in the name of Zeus does the GOP think it’s going to achieve by bargaining with Barack Obama and his socialist posse? Instead of pretending we have much in common, why don’t the Republicans get a clue and listen to the results of the last election, and heed Conservatism—and allow liberals to keep listening to Prozac? It is time to use the ancient Roman act of Damnatio Memoriae, or public condemnation, to bury old Barack along with all his self-indulgent and imbecilic decisions. The following article explores this option.

Following is a truncated list of laws and decisions by Obama & Administration that ought be stricken from the record. Plea feel free to add to this short number, as there are hundreds more.

Obamacare

A large majority want this bill completely eviscerated. It is unconstitutional and will badly damage the quality and access of American healthcare. A shocking 74% of doctors may quit medicine because of it.

TARP

TARP was an unconstitutional taking of American funds, arbitrarily given to businesses without any accountability.

Detroit Bailout

Detroit car maker bailout was an illegal buying of private businesses with public funds which created de facto socialist results.

Stimulus

The Stimulus bill was wasted funds not even invested in infrastructure, but doled out as tasty pork medallions to countless Democratic constituents, while a trillion dollars drain from our money supply.

Global Warming

Despite the science behind this idea being utterly exposed as fraudulent, Obama resolutely still attempts to address it legally. He might as well demand laws to protect Little Bo Peep, while he’s at it.

Cap & Trade

This legislation would wildly prune America’s economy, done in the name of an already failed Global Warming theory. It is really a global Marxist ruse to redistribute wealth. The UN admits it’s socialism.

As Michelle Obama embraces her latest accomplishment, the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, while Disney promotes her Let’s Move campaign, the reality of rising food and gasoline prices, as well as rising prices for propane and home heating oil continue to plague Americans. Gasoline prices at the beginning of the Obama presidency held steady at $1.81 per gallon, but have risen to over $3.00 on average as reported by the EIA in December 2010. Food prices continue to climb as well with no end in sight:

Grocery prices grew by more than 1 1/2 times the overall rate of inflation this year, outpaced only by costs of transportation and medical care, according to numbers released Wednesday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Economists predict that this is only the beginning. Fueled by the higher costs of wheat, sugar, corn, soybeans and energy, shoppers could see as much as a 4 percent increase at the supermarket checkout next year.

Since November 2009, meat, poultry, fish and eggs have surged 5.8 percent in price. Dairy and related products have gone up 3.8 percent; fats and oils, 3 percent; and sugar and sweets, 1.2 percent.

Throw in the frigid temperatures and rising energy costs for heat and you’ve got a nightmare of a trifecta. Additionally, this report confirms a consumers’ worst fear–that costs will be passed onto them:

Stater Bros. has seen the prices it pays for cereal rise 5% in recent months. The chain has passed about half the increase on to consumers while making up for the rest by trimming other expenses, such as what it spends on cell phones and delivery truck tires.

Kraft Foods Inc., Sara Lee Corp. and General Mills Inc. already have said they’ll raise prices on certain items. Starbucks Corp. backtracked on an August announcement that it would hold coffee prices steady, saying in September it would boost prices of larger and hard-to-make drinks. This week, cereal maker Kellogg hinted that it will be raising prices, without disclosing specifics.

Grocery chains Safeway Inc. and Kroger have said they’ll pass supplier increases along to consumers.

While I agree that school lunches should be healthier and Mrs. Obama’s message to kids and parents regarding healthy nutritional choices and an active lifestyle is good, it’s a tall order. It will be difficult for parents to meet her expectations as more money is siphoned off to pay for higher gas, food, and energy bills–ultimately causing consumers to look for alternative–and cheaper–food choices, leading them right back to fast food, cereals, and prepared foods. It’s no secret that a family of four can eat a complete meal for about $10 at McDonald’s. Or, they can be more frugal and only spend $4.00 if sodium-saturated Tuna Helper or nitrate- and fat-laden hot dogs and mac-n-cheese are served up. If you look at the huge profits these fast food chains rake in, you have to wonder how they do it. How do they make a profit on $1.00 sandwiches? Volume and wholesale bulk purchasing, we know, but what’s the quality of the meat if they are still making a profit when it’s priced at a buck? After all, wagyu steak costs way more than a dollar.

Let me rephrase that point. With the destructive Keynesian economic policies President Obama and the Democrats have forced upon the country, in addition to rising household costs, high unemployment, and a bleak unknown economic outlook for 2011, many families will have no option but to eat poor-quality foods, rather than high-quality, vitamin-rich, nutritious foods. Ultimately, this will lead to an increase in obesity, poorer health, and higher health care costs. Additionally, how are parents going to teach their children about healthy food choices if they cannot afford to buy them, or better yet, know how to cook? Also, will they be willing to give up the convenience foods–it takes time to prepare a homemade meal. Now parents become failures, which creates a perfect storm for the government to step and “help.”

The Society of Professional Journalists is telling reporters not to use “illegal immigrant” or “illegal alien” in their columns and reports.

It may offend someone… who happens to be in the US illegally.

World Net Daily reported, via FOX Nation:

A diversity plan from a group of journalists says reporters should not be using the term “illegal aliens” because it is not constitutional.

“Frequent use of the phrases ‘illegal immigrant’ and ‘illegal alien’ by our mainstream media is being questioned in order to remain faithful to the principles of our U.S. Constitution,” Leo Laurence wrote in the “Diversity Toolbox” column on the website for the Quill, which is produced by the Society of Professional Journalists.

He said the organization’s “Diversity Committee” met during its 2010 convention in Las Vegas and “decided to engage in a yearlong educational campaign designed to inform and sensitize journalists as to the best language to use when writing and reporting on undocumented immigrants.”

The concept, however, elicited some pointed criticism from analyst Alana Goodman of the Culture and Media Institute, who noted that the campaign appears to be targeted toward one situation, when there are many others that also could be addressed.

“The label ‘remains offensive to Latinos, and especially Mexicans, and to the fundamentals of American jurisprudence,’ wrote Leo E. Laurence,” said Goodman.

Senate Democrats and Senate Republicans UNANIMOUSLY agreed tonight to give the government more power over the food industry.

The Hill reported:

The Senate unexpectedly approved food safety legislation by unanimous consent Sunday evening, rescuing a bill that floated in limbo for weeks because of a clerical error.

The Senate passed the Food Safety and Modernization Act on Nov. 30 by a vote of 73-25. But the bill was later invalidated by a technical objection because it was a revenue-raising measure that did not originate in the House — Senate staff had failed to substitute the food safety language into a House-originated bill.

A coalition of groups supporting the bill sent a letter Sunday to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) calling for action on food safety.

“Our organizations are writing to support attaching S. 510, the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act, to the Senate’s proposed short-term continuing resolution,” the groups wrote. “Strong food-safety legislation will reduce the risk of contamination and provide FDA with the resources and authorities the agency needs to help make prevention the focus of our food safety strategies.”

The American Public Health Association, the Center for Science in the Public Interest, Consumer Federation of America, Consumers Union and other groups signed the letter.

Democrats first attempted to attach the food safety bill to the two-and-a-half-month spending measure but Republicans balked because they wanted to keep that measure clean, according to Senate aides.

Republicans, however, later agreed to pass it by unanimous consent.

The bill will hurt small family farms.

Far Left NPR analyst Nina Totenberg believes you can’t say the word “Christmas” anymore. And, if you do need to say “Christmas” you should immediately apologize for using the word on the air.

NewsBusters reported on her odd remark this weekend. Totenberg felt it necessary to apologize for using the word “Christmas” in a sentence.

Totenberg’s bashfulness came as she explained how the failure of Congress to pass an annual budget has left federal workers in limbo:

Well, these agencies, including the Defense Department, don’t know how much money they’ve got and for what. And I was at – forgive the expression – a Christmas party at the Department of Justice and people actually were really worried about this.

A majority of US voters believe Obamacare will be overturned. This follows the court decision last week that found the legislation unconstitutional.

Rasmussen reported:

For the first time since Democrats in Congress passed the health care bill in March, a majority of U.S. voters believe the measure is likely to be repealed.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters think it is at least somewhat likely that the health care plan will be repealed. Thirty-three percent (33%) view repeal as unlikely. Those figures include 16% who believe repeal is Very Likely and 5% who believe it is Not at All Likely. The number who view repeal as Likely is up from 47% last month and from 38% in early April. Belief that the plan is likely to be repealed has been hovering in the 40% range in surveys since April but began to rise in late October. Last week, a federal judge found a key provision in the law to be unconstitutional.
