He really is desperate. Barack Obama met with leftie bloggers today in the White House.
Obviously, no drug testing was required.
The Huffington Post reported:

President Barack Obama has gone on a veritable media blitz as the election has approached, speaking to reporters in off-record settings, doing sit-down interviews with traditional (National Journal) and alternative (Rolling Stone) publications, and appearing on radio programs with varying audiences (Al Sharpton and Michael Smerconish's shows just this week).

The reach extends deep into the entrails of the new media world as well. On Wednesday, the president conducted what appears to be the first ever in-person sit-down with political bloggers, hosting a group of five in the White House.

The invitees fall more under the rubric of ideological or issue-oriented activists as opposed to online reporters, though the names are familiar to most political junkies. An administration official confirmed that Joe Sudbay of AMERICABlog; Duncan Black ("Atrios"), who runs the site Eschaton; Barbara Morrill, who writes for the DailyKos; Jon Amato, who edits Crooks and Liars; and Oliver Willis, who runs an eponymous site, spoke with the president on Wednesday.

They, no doubt, talked about the issues important to Americans today… Michelle Malkin, gay rights, Breitbart, O'Keefe, socialism and Michelle Obama's toned arms.

China complains printing dollars ‘is out of control’

'Rampant issuance of dollars by the United States is saddling China with "imported inflation", Chinese commerce minister Chen Deming was quoted as saying by state media on Wednesday.' – AFP

Daytona Beach City Commissioner Derrick Henry and his campaign manager were arrested this morning and charged with absentee ballot fraud, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office said.

Henry, 41, is charged with two counts of absentee ballots and voting violations, nine counts of being a principal to absentee ballots and voting violations and one count of conspiracy to commit absentee ballots and voting violations.

Genesis Robinson, 21, is accused of 11 counts of being a principal to absentee ballots and voting violations and one count of conspiracy to commit absentee ballots and voting violations.

All of the charges are third-degree felonies, punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000.

They will be taken to the Volusia County Branch Jail with bail set at $6,000 each, Sheriff's spokesman Gary Davidson said.

Volusia County Supervisor of Elections Ann McFall reported irregularities in absentee-ballot requests coming into her office Aug. 11, Davidson said. McFall brought her concerns to the Sheriff's Office, which launched a joint investigation with the State Attorney's Office, Davidson said.

That investigation showed Henry and Robinson devised a strategy to boost Henry's re-election bid by obtaining absentee ballots for numerous people, most of whom never requested the ballots, Davidson said.

By law, residents are only allowed to request absentee ballots for themselves, immediate family members or for someone for whom they're acting as legal guardian, he said.

McFall filed the complaint after her office received a large number of requests for absentee ballots that were all initiated from the same e-mail address, Davidson said. Based on the e-mail address, it appeared that the requests came from someone with an interest in the Daytona Beach City Commission Zone 5 race, he said.

Henry, the Zone 5 incumbent who was locked in a three-way primary, was re-elected on Aug. 24.

How's this for transparency? Via the Washington Examiner:

Officials at the Treasury Department's Office of Financial Stability contracted with a small consulting firm [Phacil] that has given nearly $25,000 to Democratic candidates since 2005 (and no money to Republicans) to hire "Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Analysts to support the Disclosure Services, Privacy and Treasury Records." The firm is currently advertising a job opening for a FOIA analyst with experience in the "Use of FOIA/PA exemptions to withhold information from release to the public."

Phacil has changed their job description on their website (without making a note), however here is a link to another job description for the same job that still uses the above as a qualification.

What do you expect from a Treasury Department run by a tax cheat under the authority of the hyperpartisan and even more hypersecretive Manchurian Moonbat?

SEIU Controls Voting Machines in Fraud-Plagued Clark County, Nevada

The Democrat vote fraud already taking place in Nevada makes perfect sense in light of this revelation. From yesterday's NetRight Daily:

Did you know that the SEIU represents the voting machine technicians in Clark County (Las Vegas), Nevada? Is it any surprise, as we noted earlier today, that there was a voting glitch in Clark County, Nevada? The glitch caused Harry Reid's name to be automatically checked on the ballot before voters had indicated who were they were supporting. …

It is particularly troubling that Clark County has put the uber left-wing SEIU Local 1107 in charge of their voting machines.

From the county's collective bargaining agreement with the odious SEIU:

The County hereby recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive collective bargaining representative of the County employees assigned to the classifications listed in Appendix A…

Among the positions listed in Appendix A is Voting Machine Technician, explaining why Harry Reid's name comes prechecked before the voter does anything.

This is exactly the sort of ham-fisted cheating that characterizes left-wing unions — not to mention community organizers. The SEIU has been joined at the hip with Comrade Obama's alma mater ACORN. As head of the SEIU, Andy Stern was the #1 visitor to the Obama White House. Here's Harry Reid's most powerful ally proclaiming fealty to this cancerous union:
