Joblessness Spurs Trans-Atlantic Policy Divide

Policy makers at the European Central Bank face the same high unemployment that dogs their friends across the Atlantic at the Federal Reserve. But don't expect the ECB to follow the Fed in taking extraordinary measures to try to get things moving again.

Change. Top 400 Charities See Billions Less in Donations

The top 400 charities showed donations declined by 11 percent last year- the worst decline in 20 years.
Seattle PI reported, via Lucianne:

A new ranking of the nation's 400 biggest charities shows donations dropped by 11 percent overall last year as the Great Recession ended – the worst decline in 20 years since the Chronicle of Philanthropy began keeping a tally.

The Philanthropy 400 report to be released Monday shows such familiar names as the United Way and the Salvation Army, both based near Washington, continue to dominate the ranking, despite the 2009 declines. The survey accounts for $68.6 billion in charitable contributions.

An earlier report by the Giving USA Foundation found overall charitable giving declined 3.6 percent last year. That report included giving to private foundations and to smaller charities, while the Chronicle's survey only includes top charities raising money from the public.

"It shows that charities are really having a tough time, and this is some of the most successful charities in the United States," Chronicle Editor Stacy Palmer said. "Usually bigger charities are more resilient, so that's the part that is still surprising."

The top charities may have taken such a hit as giving shifted to smaller, local groups and because people gave less money to arts and cultural groups, Palmer said. Plus, even though the recession has officially ended, unemployment remains high at nearly 10 percent nationally and the economy continues to sputter.

The Salvation Army, based in Alexandria, Va., maintained its No. 2 ranking after the United Way, with $1.7 billion in contributions, despite a decline of 8.4 percent.

New jihad threat targets Europe, "notably France"

More burqa ban fallout. It was swell of the Saudis to clue the French in about this, wasn't it, after the Saudis have spent so much money fostering just this kind of thing. "Official: New al Qaeda threat targets Europe, 'notably France,'" from CNN, October 17 (thanks to all who sent this in):

Paris, France (CNN) -- Saudi Arabian intelligence services are warning of a new terrorist threat from al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula targeting Europe, especially France, French Interior Minister Brice Hortefeux said in a radio interview Sunday.

"Several days ago the Saudi services alerted their European counterparts that there was a terrorist threat on the continent, notably in France, coming from al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula," Hortefeux told RTL Radio. The message indicated the branch of al Qaeda was active or about to become active in Europe.

"The threat is real and our vigilance is intact," he said. France's terror alert level is at Reinforced Red, the second-highest level below Scarlette Red. "Vigilance is total," Hortefeux said....

MSM ignoring that 38 black Republicans running for national office

It is hailed by Today's Politics Freedom Number as "the most under reported story of the 2010 political season."
In what is without a doubt the most under reported story of the 2010 political season it seems that there are no less than 38 black Republicans running for national office. That's right 38-three for Congress thirty five for the House-how is it that the "Old Media" has missed this? Then again how is it that the "New Media" hasn't picked up on this?

This blogger has to admit he missed it himself. If not for the Laura Ingraham Show-and her guest today Michael Steele-this blogger would have been clueless! In fact Steele made a statement in June concerning the historic amount of black Americans running for office this year on the federal, state, and local level...(click here for the full list).

This is amazing! The Republican party historically was the party of black Americans until the 30's when somehow the party of slavery-the Democrats-managed somehow to win them over to their side. What followed is a sad story of liberal philosophy and theories almost singlehandedly destroying the fabric of the American black social community. In fact through the endless entitlement mentality of the Democrats black Americans-as well as a multitude of other races-have been enslaved by dependency on the all-mighty government! ...

Indeed, I have said many, many times in this blog that black slave ancestors are turning over in their graves at about 10 RPM right now knowing that the Democrat Party that foisted and fought for enslaving black people in the 19th century, did the same thing in the 20th and into the 21st centuries - shackling to black population to hopelessness and dependency on the Democrat Party. Back then, it was through physical force. Today, it is through political force as any black person not towing the liberal line is branded an Uncle Tom or a porch money of the white man. Democrats are the ones that run failed minority urban schools, failed minority urban cities (read: Detroit), have replaced the father with the government via welfare, etc. The list is endless, but there is only one result - the lifelong dependency of the black community on the Democrat apparatus via social programs specifically designed to shackle them. The Democrats have institutionalized black people to where they cannot be free. Democrat social programs are methods of control. The victim mentality was installed in black communities by Democrats. Affirmative action separates people by their race. Us against them. Black versus white. The party of identity politics divides people and judges them by the color of their skin, not by the content of their character. Democrats have kept blacks down in the plantations of failed urban environments with failed public schools that only teach hopelessness, doomed to continue voting for Democrats to get handouts that they have been convinced they are entitled to. And Democrats continue to to reap many votes from people's misery that they themselves have created. It's time that the black community wakes up and starts to vote for freedom, including their own, and their inalienable right to self determination that those centuries ago fought for.

And yet with all that history from centuries ago to this very day, and in what may be the largest case in history of mass projection, Democrats point their crooked fingers at we freedom-loving conservatives as racist bigots. They keep blacks on their liberal plantations and then complain that there aren't enough of them at tea parties. Yet many good black people still attend tea parties and are openly conservative knowing full well the hostility that will be focused on them (via moonbattery):
The MSM does 2 things with respect to black conservatives. 1) Berate them. Or 2) Ignore them. The latter results in people not knowing that 32 (the number I had mentioned before, but it looks like 38 now) black Republicans ran in this years primaries:
As I pointed out in the interview, several weeks before the NYT saw fit to release the info, there are many black Republicans running for seats. I asserted there were 22. There are in fact 38. It should come as no surprise that TP didn't know any were running. From a prior post of mine: Detroit News: "President Barack Obama's election has inspired a record number of African-American candidates to run for Congress this year. What's surprising is that they're running as Republicans". How did liberals treat these black conservative? This is how:

..."I've been told I hate myself. I've been called an Uncle Tom. I've been told I'm a spook at the door," said Timothy F. Johnson, chairman of the Frederick Douglass Foundation, a group of black conservatives who support free market principles and limited government.

...They've been called Oreos, traitors and Uncle Toms, and are used to having to defend their values.
As I have said many times, if you want to know what true intolerance is, be a black conservative. Speaking of, I got a chance to interview 3 black conservatives at a Sarah Palin rally in Clarkston, MI that I covered (coverage at the links here and here). I asked them specifically about the racial angle:
It's not about race, but rather policy, and it is the latter that gave rise to the tea party movement, not the former. Yet, opponents have done their best to paint the tea party as racist even though I have reported from many tea parties and my pics and interviews included black people there. In fact, there are many black tea party participants that are simply ignored by the media. I asked an interracial couple the race question at a recent tea party rally:
As well as Andrew, who brought together the Pontiac Tea Party and has seven interracial children (he brought 2 with him on this day):
Here's one more video from Washington DC:
The liberal MSM, as indicated by the many interviews in these tea party chronicles, hates black conservatives almost as much as the liberal activist left. Almost.

New claim: Global warming is making the Earth literally crumble to pieces!

There is no claim outlandish enough for global warming proponents to hold at arms length lest they been seen for the fools they are. Yet the moonbats are so close to getting global control over people's lives, which they will subsequently use to quash any good standard of living, that they are flailing around now in taking the kitchen sink approach with any possible claim. Nothing is sticking. This claim won't either (from New Scientist via William Teach):
EARTH is starting to crumble under the strain of climate change.
Over the last decade, rock avalanches and landslides have become more common in high mountain ranges, apparently coinciding with the increase in exceptionally warm periods (see "Early signs"). The collapses are triggered by melting glaciers and permafrost, which remove the glue that holds steep mountain slopes together.
Worse may be to come. Thinning glaciers on volcanoes could destabilise vast chunks of their summit cones, triggering mega-landslides capable of flattening cities such as Seattle and devastating local infrastructure.
The claim is made by what happened when we came out of the last ice age some 10,000 years ago. The NOAA ice core data reveals this:
See that huge spike on the left? That was the end of the ice age. See that massive spike on the right? Me neither. Thus the 2 events must be equivalent according to New Scientist, so we ought to crush our economy that will do nothing in preventing a problem that doesn't exist. In regards to the above temperature data, where were all the rock slides in historical texts every time there was a real temperature spike, the last one occurring during the dark ages when Crusaders fought against Muslim invaders driving gas guzzling SUVs? As it is, mankind is responsible for only 3.4% of CO2 in the atmosphere, the other 96.6% coming from mostly the oceans and then forests and vegetation. So unless Congress can start regulating the 70% of the planet covered by water, reducing any chunk of that 3.4% will do exactly jack squat. HT: Right Wing News

Ground Zero Mosque Thug Gamal is a Deadbeat, Bank Sues for Unrepaid Loan

What a pair, the extremist slumlord and the deadbeat mug. Sort of fits perfectly with the idea of the Ground Zero Islamic supremacist mosque, doesn't it? No decent human being would consider such a stab in the eye.

Thug Gamal, developer of the Ground Zero, is a deadbeat. Taxes and now loans. Mr. $150 million dollar mosque man, who was evicted from his office for non-payment of rent, has another big debt he skipped out on, an unrepaid loan. Back in August, I posted  that thug Gamal hadn't paid his taxex. He owed $224,270.77 in back property tax on the site. failed to pay its half-yearly bills in   Gamal evil January and July, according to the city Finance Department.

That default is a violation of El-Gamal's lease with Con Edison, which owns half of the proposed building site on Park Place. El-Gamal owns the other half but must pay taxes on the entire parcel.

The lease agreement, obtained by The Post, specifies that El-Gamal's company pay taxes on the property and submit receipts to Con Ed.

The utility said it would have to review any possible lease violations.

Perhaps the thug Gamal should stop menacing moderate Muslims who oppose his triumphal mosque at Ground Zero and start paying his bills. Can say debtor's prison? Just add it to his rap sheet.

Mayor Gloomberg ought to be ashamed of himself. he has this lowlife to Gracie Mansion for dinner. Got that?

More Trouble for Mosque Man NY Post (hat tip Davida)

The money woes keep growing for a developer of the Ground Zero mosque.

Valley National Bank is suing Sharif El-Gamal and his real-estate company, Soho Properties, seeking $95,778 plus interest for an unrepaid loan. The firm took out a $100,000 line of credit, guaranteed by El-Gamal, from the bank in 2008, but defaulted in early 2009, according to court papers.

A spokesman for El-Gamal declined to comment yesterday.

El-Gamal moved from the firm's offices in September after his landlord initiated eviction proceedings over $39,000 in back rent.

He also failed to pay his city taxes in January and July, but agreed to a payment plan in September for $270,000, including interest.

El-Gamal has been a leader in the controversial proposal to build a mosque and community center on Park Place, two blocks from the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

NY Times in their usual MSM bias on those terrible Republicans

By Jill Abramson NYTimes

To old political hands, wise to the ways of candidates and money, 1972 was a watershed year. Richard M. Nixon's re-election campaign was awash in cash, secretly donated by corporations and individuals.

Fred Wertheimer, a longtime supporter of campaign finance regulation, was then a lawyer for Common Cause. He vividly recalls the weeks leading up to April 7, 1972, before a new campaign finance law went into effect requiring the disclosure of the names of individual donors. "Contributors," he said, "were literally flying into Washington with satchels of cash."

The Committee for the Re-Election of the President was also illegally hauling in many millions of dollars from corporations, many of which felt pressured into making contributions.

The record of donors was so tightly held that it was kept in a locked drawer by Rose Mary Woods, Nixon's secretary. The list — which came to be known as "Rose Mary's Baby" — wasn't released until Mr. Wertheimer forced the issue through a lawsuit. Among those on the list were William Keeler, the chief executive of Phillips Petroleum, who pleaded guilty, during the post-Watergate prosecutions, to making an illegal corporate donation.

Rose Mary's Baby itself, now an artifact of the nation's biggest political scandal, sits in the Watergate collection of the National Archives.

In this year's midterm elections, there is no talk of satchels of cash from donors. Nor is there any hint of illegal actions reaching Watergate-like proportions. But the fund-raising practices that earned people convictions in Watergate — giving direct corporate money to a campaign and doing so secretly — are back in a different form in 2010.

This time around, the corporations are still giving secretly, but legally. In 1907, direct corporate donations to candidates were legally barred in a campaign finance reform push by President Theodore Roosevelt. But that law and others — the foundation for many Watergate convictions — are all but obsolete. This is why many supporters of strict campaign finance laws are wringing their hands.

Certainly, it is still illegal for corporations to contribute directly to candidates. But they now have equally potent ways to exert their influence. This election year is the first since the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision, which allows corporations for the first time to finance ads that directly support or oppose political candidates. And tax laws and loopholes have permitted a shadow campaign network of Republican-leaning nonprofit groups to collect a flood of anonymous donations and spend it widely.

If the Republicans make big gains in the House and Senate on Election Day, there is rare bipartisan consensus that they will owe part of their victory to the millions of dollars raised and spent by these nonprofit groups, much of which has come from businesses.

The groups, including the Chamber of Commerce, the American Action Network and Crossroads GPS, which is linked to the Republican strategist Karl Rove, have committed to spending well over $150 million this year. President Obama has railed against these groups as they have poured money into races in which once-secure Democrats are hanging by a thread.

But the attacks may have only helped build the groups' fund-raising muscle. Crossroads GPS and a sister organization, American Crossroads, have received more than $100,000 in small donations through the Web, when they had expected most gifts to come in big checks. And the groups' leaders have only grown more influential — far more influential than the Republican National Committee, led by Michael Steele. Evidently, the corporate donors love having a secret route to influence politics and elect Republicans without showing their hands to a Washington still controlled by the Democrats.

In past elections, the Democrats have also used outside groups, including those organized by the party strategist Harold Ickes. In 2004, groups linked to the Democratic Party spent $150 million to influence the elections and agreed to pay $1.3 million in fines to settle charges that they had made illegal expenditures. In the last three elections, Democratic groups substantially outspent Republican groups. But many of these groups were so-called 527s, which were required to disclose donors' identities.

In this election, Mr. Obama and the Democrats have either refused, or have been unable, to fight fire with similar, Democrat-leaning groups. With an angry Wall Street and donors like George Soros on the sidelines — "I don't believe in standing in the way of an avalanche," he recently said — the Democrats don't have an obvious counter, except for labor unions, which probably can't match corporate contributors.

Since Watergate, the names of political donors have largely been disclosed, even by so-called independent groups. In 2004 and 2006, nearly all independent groups involved in politics revealed their donors, according to a report by Public Citizen, a group that has long supported campaign finance reform. In 2008, fewer than half of these groups disclosed donors, and so far this year, fewer than one-third.

Because United States tax law permits certain social welfare and labor groups to collect donations anonymously if political activity is not their key focus, the only way to stop the undisclosed donations is to change the law. ButDemocrats recently failed to move a bill requiring disclosure through the Senate; not a single Republican voted for it.

Such legislation is unlikely to grow any more popular before 2012, and most political experts agree that the secret money spent by outside groups this year will look like a pittance by then, when President Obama will face re-election.

"This year is practice for 2012," said Jan Baran, a partner at Wiley Rein L.L.P. in Washington, who is a former general counsel of the Republican National Committee. Mr. Baran filed an amicus brief in the Citizens United case on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce, which opposed donor disclosure. "It would lead to intimidation and harassment of contributors," Mr. Baran explained. (While the decision blessed certain corporate donations, the court supported disclosure requirements for money given to political parties and candidates. The nonprofits were unaffected.)

The 1972 campaign had its own dry run for the fund-raising abuses of Watergate. In 1970, President Nixon tried to orchestrate a Republican sweep in the off-year Congressional elections. Known as the Townhouse Operation, a group of Nixon loyalists, some of whom are leading this year's nonprofit push, operated out of a townhouse near DuPont Circle in Washington, raising illegal corporate cash and distributing it in key Senate races.

The legacy of Watergate is quite clear. But the repercussions from today's campaign finance system are still being measured and debated.

"It creates all the appearances of dirty dealings and undue influence because our candidates are awash in funds the public is ignorant about," said Roger Witten, a partner in the New York office of WilmerHale, who served as assistant special prosecutor in the Watergate special prosecution force. "This is the problem that was supposedly addressed after Watergate."

Mr. Baran, the Republican lawyer, said Watergate comparisons are way overblown; plenty of restrictions still exist. "To make the Watergate analogy is an exaggeration," he said, "and I have five inches of statutes that repudiate that comparison."

Still, some players shaking the corporate money trees for nonprofit groups this year cut their teeth in the Nixon re-election campaign. There is Fred Malek, a founder of the American Action Network, whose members include many well-known Republicans, like former Senator Norm Coleman of Minnesota. Mr. Malek was the White House personnel chief in 1972 and helped dispense patronage for major Nixon donors as well as serving as deputy director of Creep.

Back then, Mr. Malek was interviewed by Hamilton Fox III, another Watergate prosecutor, and acknowledged that some of the campaign's activities might have "bordered on the unethical."

In an interview last week, Mr. Malek said he founded his new group to "counter what the labor unions are doing on the Democratic side." Started in February, the group is split into two parts: the Action Forum, a 501(c)(3), which allows donations to be tax-deductible but limits political activities, and the Action Network, a 501 (c)(4), in which contributions are not deductible or disclosed but the group can advocate for political causes.

The American Action Network has spent heavily in New Hampshire, where it backed Kelly Ayotte, the Republican nominee for United States Senate. She was endorsed in a tough primary battle by Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor. (Mr. Malek is a fan of Ms. Palin, according to his blog.) Mr. Malek's group has also spent heavily in Wisconsin, where it hopes to help unseat Russ Feingold, the Democratic senator. It is also spending on close House races.

The American Action Network shares office space with American Crossroads, led by Mr. Rove, who also was an active participant in Nixon's re-election as executive director of the College Republican National Committee.

Mr. Malek also attends meetings of the Weaver Terrace Group, which was named for the street where Mr. Rove used to live. The participants, who include leading Republican strategists from outside groups, routinely trade political intelligence and sometimes make joint fund-raising trips.

The list of donors for either Mr. Malek's group or Mr. Rove's group is unknown. Yet Mr. Wertheimer predicts that the groups will, one day, have to disclose their contributors. "I don't believe secretly funding our elections can be sustained," said Mr. Wertheimer, who now runs Democracy 21, which pushes for campaign finance reform. "It won't hold up. The public won't stand for it. This is guaranteed corruption."

With so many different Republican groups spending so much, he said, no desk drawer is big enough to hold the 2010 list of secret donors, like the one that held his hard-fought-for Rose Mary's Baby.

Boxer: Stimulus Cut $10 Bil. in Yearly Taxes in California Alone

You know something that I don't understand?  How Democrats in power can take $787,000,000,000 and spend it with almost no results, then say that they are actually saving the American people money.  Actually, let me rephrase my first statement: I can understand it, they are liars.

Take Barbara Boxer, for example.  The Stimulus Bill of 2009 has spent tens of billions of dollars in California in the last year and a half, yet unemployment in the state stands at around 12%, with some counties over 20%.  Remember, the President nor any one else explained a way to pay for the Stimulus, which would most likely be paid for through taxes.  Yet Democrat Senator Boxer has the gall to say that she has saved her constituents billions of dollars.

Take for example this post that she wrote on her own campaign site:
Putting aside the hilarious claim that the Stimulus bill "is already having a significant impact" for a moment, take a look at what is written after the bullet.  "12.4 million families are receiving up to $800 a year in tax relief from the Recovery Act."  In the grander scheme of things, what does that number mean?  Well, in case you cannot multiply 800 times 12,400,000, let me:  9,920,000,000.  That's 9.9 billion dollars.

Do you really think that people feel that "relief?"  Or do you believe that the hundreds more taken from the average American with the Stimulus Bill has more people worried?  That's like saying Boxer gave me a $5 bill, demanding a $20 in return, then telling everyone she saved me $5.
Boxer: Enjoys Spending Your Money
Getting back to her claim that the Stimulus bill "is already having a significant impact," I'd laugh but I do not believe that Ms. Boxer is joking.  Does the rest of the United States know that the Stimulus bill has had a major impact?  Because the last I checked, it's done almost nothing (other than spend our money) and that Democrats are going to be booted come November 2nd.

These are the people in charge in Congress.  Boxer, Reid, Pelosi, and so many more.  These are people who take your money, burn it, then demand that you thank them.  Remind me, how are they surprised that they'll be out on their butts in two week?

If you support anyone in this election, support Boxer's opponent Carly Fiorina.

Please come back!

Obama Blames The Bad Economy On Americans Inability To “Think Clearly”

The arrogance and condescension of this man knows no bounds. The country is all cowards now:

WEST NEWTON, Mass. – President Barack Obama said Americans' "fear and frustration" is to blame for an intense midterm election cycle that threatens to derail the Democratic agenda.

"Part of the reason that our politics seems so tough right now and facts and science and argument does not seem to be winning the day all the time is because we're hardwired not to always think clearly when we're scared," Obama said Saturday evening in remarks at a small Democratic fundraiser Saturday evening. "And the country's scared."

Obama told the several dozen donors that he was offering them his "view from the Oval Office." He faulted the economic downturn for Americans' inability to "think clearly" and said the burden is on Democrats "to break through the fear and the frustration people are feeling."

Read that again.

So what he is saying is that he never realized how ignorant and scared the people of this country are and he made the mistake to assume that we were all a little bit smarter than that.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised by this seeing as how the Democrats have always viewed the public as being unable to run their own lives. The government will take care of you since you're too retarded to figure this thing out we call life. You make good money? Well gosh darn it, the government knows you won't send any extra cash to charities and such so they will confiscate that cash and give it to those they deem more worthy than you.

Tom Maguire:

Speaking of which, left unanswered (and probably unasked) – are people hard-wired to think clearly while euphoric about the possibility of hope and change? I'd hate to think Obama ran an emotionally manipulative campaign what seems like two eons ago.

Clueless NY Times on Ft. Hood Killer: “The Gunmen & His Motive Remain an Enigma”

Nidal Malik Hasan shot and killed 13 US soldiers on November 10, 2009- screaming "Allahu Akbar" while he shot them dead.
Yet, the elitists in the state-run media still can't figure out why he slaughtered 13 US soldiers in cold blood.

Hasan maintained contact with radical mosque leader from Virginia, Anwar al Awlaki, who now lives in Yemen and runs a web site that promotes jihad around the world against the U.S. (ABC News)

The New York Times reported:

A parade of prosecution witnesses — many of them still struggling with their wounds — provided a gripping, almost cinematic account of the attack in which 13 people died and dozens were wounded.

Yet the gunman and his motive remain an enigma. And there were few clues about what sort of defense Major Hasan, a 40-year-old Army psychiatrist, would mount in the face of such overwhelming evidence.

The witnesses spoke at an Article 32 hearing, a military proceeding in which an investigating officer, in this case Col. James L. Pohl, listens to evidence and decides whether to recommend a court-martial, what charges should be filed and what the penalty should be.

The hearing is not a trial, and the defense often uses it discover the strength of prosecution's evidence, while the prosecution sometimes uses it to encourage the defense to enter a guilty plea.

Really, are these people this clueless?

Poor baby: Guantanamo ‘six years of hell’

Like I care:

Hicks said he was in a "haze of disbelief and fear, pain and confusion" when he arrived in Camp X-Ray in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in early 2002 and was placed in a cage made of cyclone fencing.

"The first two weeks of Camp X-Ray was a blur of hardships: no sleeping, no talking, no moving, no looking, no information," he writes in "Guantanamo: My Journey" released Saturday.

Next time don't wage war against us.  And be thankful you weren't handed over the Jordanians or Egyptians.  If you were, you'd be dead now.  And, btw, I think you're a cheap, lying whiner looking for attention towards your pathetic existence.

Oh, and if Iran caught you stealing chocolate, they'd cut your hand off.  Go away, putz.

Why the New York Times, ABC, CBS and PBS are doomed

Kittehs_orange_sky2

Where's Tiny? Can you pick her out in this image dominated by her paramour Earl Grey (left), enjoying the afterglow of a catnip binge on the front stoop the other evening? Like the Army of Davids' assault on the powers that be, it's obvious to those of us on the march, but to those whose eyes are not accustomed to the light, Tiny may be hiding in plain sight.

By Sissy Willis of sisu

Did you catch the bit about the PBS memo warning employees to avoid participating in Jon Stewart's and Stephen Colbert's forthcoming election-eve, in-Glenn-Beck's-face "Rally to Restore Sanity" and "March to Keep Fear Alive"? Those are the glitzy political demonstrations being stealth-funded by Oprah and Arianna. It's okay to attend as an observer, but you mustn't show your true colors

Now it appears the rest of the legacy media are marching in lock step. Beyond the utter silliness of what Sarah Palin calls the Lamestream Media's worrying about giving any "false impression" of bias, the New York Times spokeswoman reveals the tin-eared incomprehension of the Fuddy-Duddy community's response to the scintillating hive of bloggers, twitterers, facebookers and such who are disintermediating the powers that be via the panoply of media, old and new, available to today's everyman

Is green the new red (communism)?

Global warming is the greatest and most successful pseudo-scientific fraud I have seen in my long life.~ Dr. Harold Lewis

Ellis Washington at WorldNetDaily

EXCERPTS:

Ten days ago, Harold Lewis, Ph.D., emeritus professor of physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara, tendered his letter of resignation to Curtis G. Callan Jr., Princeton University, president of the American Physical Society, because Dr. Lewis finally realized that he could no longer support what he called the "successful pseudo-scientific fraud" of global warming.

Leon Trotsky called this tactic "perpetual revolution." Always keep the revolution going; always have a crisis before the face of the people; always keep society in a controlled state of chaos. Saul Alinsky, Hillary Clinton and Obama's intellectual mentor, furthered Trotskyite tactics in his book, "Rules for Radicals"(1971), and now President Obama is forcing America to live out the Democrats' green socialist nightmare, which stopped the Reagan economic revolution dead in its tracks while plunging America into a second Great Depression.

During the Age of Obama and FDR's welfare state, part 2, Niemoller is one of my heroes, and that's why we must speak out against this 40-year-old green movement, which is fascist in conception and a cynical backdoor attempt by the Democratic Party to destroy liberty of contract, free-market capitalism and to subvert society gradually through Fabian socialism.
