Why the New York Times, ABC, CBS and PBS are doomed

Did you catch the bit about the PBS memo warning employees to avoid participating in Jon Stewart's and Stephen Colbert's forthcoming election-eve, in-Glenn-Beck's-face "Rally to Restore Sanity" and "March to Keep Fear Alive"? Those are the glitzy political demonstrations being stealth-funded by Oprah and Arianna. It's okay to attend as an observer, but you mustn't show your true colors

Now it appears the rest of the legacy media are marching in lock step. Beyond the utter silliness of what Sarah Palin calls the Lamestream Media's worrying about giving any "false impression" of bias, the New York Times spokeswoman reveals the tin-eared incomprehension of the Fuddy-Duddy community's response to the scintillating hive of bloggers, twitterers, facebookers and such who are disintermediating the powers that be via the panoply of media, old and new, available to today's everyman
