Joe Biden is getting a bailout. Why? Because he’s too gaffe-tastic to fail, I guess.
The Federal Election Commission has approved a transfer of money from “Obama for America” to Joe Biden’s primary campaign to cover debts and fines that the Biden ’08 campaign doesn’t have the funds to pay.
Here’s part of what the Biden campaign owes and why:
An FEC audit shows that Biden’s campaign debts include an estimated $219,005 owed to the U.S. Treasury.
Auditors came up with that total after finding the Biden campaign accepted donations over the legal limit, failed to deal with refund checks that donors didn’t cash, and accepted illegal corporate help by paying less than it should have for a private plane flight.
That kind of bookkeeping acumen is what made “Sheriff Joe” the natural choice to be put in charge of ensuring that “every penny” of the nearly trillion dollar stimulus was carefully accounted for, spent efficiently and effectively, and didn’t fall prey to crook or incompetence.
Paying taxes in a willing and timely fashion patriotic, but campaign debts and fines, not so much.
