Obama’s ‘Hispanic Education Excellence’ Executive Order is four times warmed-over tripe

President Obama has shifted into full-time campaign mode in a miserable effort to mitigate the inevitable recrimination following the November Punishment.  Most of his effort has been typical democrat playbook:  Preach to the choir in hopes they'll sing on cue; how embarrassing for both pulpit and pit.  Yet he did take one action: Executive Order 13555 of October 19, 2010, entitled "White House Initiative On Educational Excellence For Hispanics." Before Hispanics rejoice, they need to look over their collective shoulder to EO 13230 (W, 2001), EO 12900 (Clinton, 1994), and EO 12729 (Geo. the Elder, 1990). At least the previous presidents had the integrity to throw resources at the  issue at a time further removed from an election.  Do you like being used?

Obama's EO reads, in part:  The mission of the Initiative shall be to help restore the United States to its role as the global leader in education and to strengthen the Nation by expanding educational opportunities and improving educational outcomes for Hispanics of all ages and by helping to ensure that all Hispanics receive a complete and competitive education that prepares them for college, a career, and productive and satisfying lives.

A "satisfying life"?  The White House, generally, and Obama, specifically, can make someone's life "satisfying"?  "Satisfaction" is defined or predicated or not possible without government intervention?  Yeow!  Alright, let's set that aside.

What Obama wants is to improve "educational opportunities" and "educational outcomes."  That's the substance.

President W:  (a) efforts to increase participation of Hispanic Americans in Federal education programs and services; … (d) the measurable impact resulting from these efforts and levels of participation.

Opportunities.  Outcomes.  Yeah, (b) and (c) wanted to do more, as well.

President Clinton:  to strengthen the Nation's capacity to provide high-quality education, and to increase opportunities for Hispanic Americans to participate in and benefit from Federal education programs

Opportunities.  Outcomes.

President Geo. the Elder:  to strengthen the capacity to provide quality education, and to increase opportunities for Hispanic Americans to participate in and benefit from Federal programs

Opportunities.  Outcomes.  Yeah, Clinton plagiarized, but that was the least of his crimes.

So tell me, Hispanics, will you see the opportunistic game being played by Obama?  The historical pattern – the utter lack of new ideas – is appalling to me – is it to you?
