Video: FDNY to institute ‘Crash Tax’; city plans to bill drivers in accidents that require an emerge

The first duty of government is the protection of the citizens. It is the prime directive. Or at least it used to be. In this point in time, government is a pension and healthcare management system for the benefit of public sector unions, performing public services miserably at the expense of the taxpayers whom it is failing. Case in point is New York, in line to be the #2 failed state after California and just ahead of Illinois. The public sector pension and healthcare benefits are untouchable and the taxes that pay for services no longer pay for services at all. From CBS New York via drudge: FDNY Set To Institute 'Crash Tax'
If you gave to pay for emergency services, what the hell is any New Yorker paying taxes for at all?
The so-called "crash tax" works like this: A car fire or accident with injury would cost you $490. A car fire without injury, $415. And any vehicle accident without injury will run you $365.
New York is one of the highest taxed states in the nation. They should be paving the roads of Manhattan with gold at the rates taxpayers are being bilked for. It's all going to graft.
