Just about everyone has commented on the revelation that Politifact is - egads! - full of liberals protecting liberalism by trotting out biased fact-checks. The recent whopper is that ObamaCare is not a takeover of healthcare. Instapundit has tracked the debunking (here, here and here), but Don Surber offered the most complete and devastating one of them all: Fact-checking a fact-checker. Rather than add (very little at that) to Don's awesome post on the subject, I am going to trot out VP Joe Biden and our own John Dingell to disprove what Politifact contends. ObamaCare is in fact a takeover of the healthcare system. A key part? Death panels. The government will now decide what insurance companies will and will not cover for instance. In essence, the government will control insurance companies and through them control the healthcare system (Video of Joe Biden: "We're going to control the insurance companies"):
Ultimately, though, the control of healthcare is the control of the people. And that is the proverbial reing of power that Democrats seek (Shocking Audio: Rep. John Dingell (D-Detroit) Says ObamaCare Will Eventually "CONTROL THE PEOPLE"):

Let me remind you this has been going on for years. We are bringing it to a halt. The harsh fact of the matter is when you're going to pass legislation that will cover 300 American people in different ways it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people. - John DingellHow is it that the hacks at Politifact claim with a straight face that ObamaCare isn't a takeover again? Not just of healthcare, but of us.
