Irony: Obama advisor Axelrod has to defend lower taxes as good for economy on NBC: "I need to get a vault going of Obama's minions defending lower taxes as stimulative to the economy. They're right of course, but it's the opposite of what they have been saying for years. Their argument is the same thing conservatives have been saying forever - that more money in people's pockets is better for the economy since the GDP is comprised of about 70% consumer spending. More money, more spending, better GDP, rinse and repeat. Pulling money out of the economy to fund government programs is counterproductive. Here's Axelrod on NBC:
We need to hang onto that vid when these same people argue for a tax increase in 2 years.
UPDATE: Want more irony? Our own US Rep Gary Peters (D-Pelosi), who voted with the dim bulb 95% of the time, endorses the Bush tax cuts. From The Michigan View:
Again we have a radical liberal saying what we conservatives have been saying forever - lower taxes, better economy. In that order."
