Hopey-Changey Gone Bad: Most Americans Say They’re Worse Off Since Obama Took Office, Poll Shows
RWB News: Jobs Jobs Jobs is the most important thing people are worried about. But not Obama and the Dems….they have pushed jobs to the back burner to work on their Radical Agenda's that Americans are against. ….Great Move. That's why Americans sent you home in November.
Bloomberg.com reports:
More than 50 percent of Americans say they are worse off now than they were two years ago when President Barack Obama took office, and two-thirds believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, a Bloomberg National Poll shows.
The survey, conducted Dec. 4-7, finds that 51 percent of respondents think their situation has deteriorated, compared with 35 percent who say they're doing better. The balance isn't sure. Americans have grown more downbeat about the country's future in just the last couple of months, the poll shows. The pessimism cuts across political parties and age groups, and is common to both sexes.
The negative sentiment may cast a pall over the holiday shopping season, according to the poll. A plurality of those surveyed — 46 percent — expects to spend less this year than last; only 12 percent anticipate spending more. Holiday sales rose by just under a half percent last year after falling by almost 4 percent in 2008.
"It's definitely different this year than it's been," says poll respondent Larry Deyo, a 38-year-old father of two in Marlton, New Jersey. "I can't really do too much with spending." He says he lost his job at a kitchen and bath design center when the company closed, and he's now working at a Home Depot Inc. store with a "significant decrease" in pay.
It was President Ronald Reagan who popularized the question, "Are you better off or worse off than you were four years ago" in his 1980 campaign against Jimmy Carter.

Top Level Iranian Defector: I Regularly Saw ‘North Korean Technicians’ in Tehran

Former Iranian diplomat Mohammed Reza Heydari, seen here in January 2010, says he regularly saw North Korean technicians at Tehran airport between 2002 and 2007. (France 24)
The former Iranian consul general to Norway told reporters on Tuesday that he had regularly seen North Korean technicians at the Tehran airport between 2002 and 2007.
France 24 reported:
A former Iranian diplomat who defected to the West said on Tuesday he had regularly seen North Korean technicians at Tehran airport between 2002 and 2007.
Western intelligence agencies suspect North Korea may be helping Iran to develop long-range ballistic missiles and nuclear weapons technology. Tehran insists it simply wants to develop civilian nuclear power.
Mohammed Reza Heydari, Iran's former consul general in Norway, defected amid protests in his homeland over Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's disputed re-election. Norway granted him asylum in February. On Tuesday he told reporters at a meeting organised by the Paris-based think-tank the Centre of Political and Foreign Affairs that he had seen North Koreans when he had been a foreign ministry official at Tehran airport.
"I saw them with my own eyes," he said. "They were treated in a very discreet manner, in order to pass through without being seen."
Heydari said he was "100 percent certain" that these contacts continue and alleged he had spoken to members of Iran's hardline Revolutionary Guards Corps who confirmed that Iran plans to build a bomb.
"I was able to confirm that Iran has two goals — to develop the range of its ground-to-ground missiles and to obtain a nuclear weapon with the help of North Korea," he said.

Senate Democrats Punt on DREAM Act For Now
Senate Democrats punted on a vote for the DREAM Act after Republicans blocked Harry Reid from moving forward with the bill to give amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants.
FOX News reported:
The Senate on Thursday punted on a DREAM Act vote after Democrats failed to advance a version that passed the House Wednesday night.
Senate Democrats hope to vote on the House-passed legislation before the lame-duck session ends this month.
"We still hope to consider it before we leave," a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told Fox News.
Earlier, Reid tried to shelve a procedural vote on the legislation that would carve out a path to legalization for hundreds of thousands of foreign-born youngsters brought to this country illegally because he said it would be more appropriate to take up the version that cleared the House.
But Republicans refused to let him to do that. So Reid had the Senate vote on killing a motion to start debate on the bill.
Good.
Now if they would only kill the lame duck.

The Latest Climate Change "Fear Mongering" - Global Warming Causes Cancer
The latest? The UN says Climate change could give you cancer. Yep now global warming gets put into the same category as Cigarettes, DDT and of course being a lab rat and consuming two tons of the sweetener cyclamate in one sitting.
This is how they say their latest scam works:
My Stories Melting glaciers and ice sheets are releasing cancer-causing pollutants into the air and oceans, scientists say. The long-lasting chemicals get into the food chain and build up in people's bodies - triggering tumours, heart disease and infertility.POPs? Does than mean we cant have soda pop?
The study – due to be published next month – says rising temperatures and more extreme weather are increasing human exposure to pollutants around the world, including in Britain.
'It is a problem in all parts of the world – pollutants do not respect borders. They travel thousands of miles and they continue to build' Scientists are concerned about Persistent Organic Pollutants, or POPs, because they last decades in the environment and accumulate in body tissue.
They include pesticides such as DDT and chemicals called PCBs used in electrical goods.
Donald Cooper, of the United Nations Environment Programme which published the report at the UN climate talks in Cancun, Mexico, said melting glaciers and ice sheets were releasing POPs trapped years ago into the air and seas.
....'In the past pollutants have travelled long distances and become trapped in ice in glaciers and ice sheets. But as the ice melts, or when temperatures go up, they are released back into the seas and atmosphere.
....Higher temperatures can also make seals, whales and polar bars more vulnerable to pollutants, the report says.I knew it!! I knew they would find a way to merge it with "Save the Whales."
Here is the problem glaciers are growing, that's right getting bigger. At this site is a list of referenced/ and hot-lined articles talking about the growth of glaciers. There are also pages that show the Antarctic Ice is growing and the latest reports from the ice stations in Greenland show that everything was pretty cool (pun intended).
Sorry moonbats it looks like a case of , "Glaciers Si', Cancer No"

ObamaCare kills discount drug deals to childrens hospitals
Law of intended consequences.
Nancy Pelosi told us that we needed to pass the ObamaCare bill to find out what was in it, but apparently we needed to pass it to find out what wasn't in it as well. Thanks to one of the 2800 pages that apparently no one in Congress read before voting on the bill, the [...]

Islamic Radicals Training TSA
I only wish this story were a spoof on the eagerness of our rulers to play into the hands of our worst enemies:
According to a press release by the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), the organization recently completed training for 2,200 officers charged with protecting our nation's air security. According to the release, the two-month training course highlighted "the diversity of Muslims around the world from cultural dress to language and tenets," and "taught the TSOs how to properly handle a Quran and discussed the different ways Muslim women and men choose to cover or dress."
Are these the chimerical moderate Muslims said to exist? No. As managing editor of an Islamist student newspaper at UCLA, MPAC's Edina Lekovic described Osama bin Laden as a "great Mujahid" and a "freedom fighter and philanthropist."
According to MPAC, the airport security measures intended to defend us from Muslim terrorists oppress Muslims. After the attempted Christmas Day bombing by the Underwear Bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab last year,
Lekovic condemned the use of profiling at airports to identify potential terrorists: "It doesn't work. It's unconstitutional, and it's discriminatory." The TSA eventually caved to pressure from MPAC, and repealed a policy that would allow for additional screening of passengers that came from countries that were likely to be home to Islamist radicals.
Why don't we just put Al Qaeda in charge of airport security?
On a tip from G. Fox.

Obama scores again: Mismanages EPA ozone regs, delays until at least July 2011
Let's do a date check: Today is Thursday, December 8, 2010. On Thursday, December 1, 2010, just seven days ago – and just 30 days before the end of the year – we were treated to this:
As recently as last Thursday, the agency said it remained committed to finalizing the new standards by the end of the year. The agency has said tightening the standard could save as many as 12,000 lives a year and yield health benefits worth as much as $100 billion annually in 2020.
OK. Sounds definitive. Sounds important. Sounds critical. Sounds necessary. These things – standards and regulations – are complex. They are written, reviewed, commented upon, rewritten, and finally released in a process that takes at least several months. One can safely conclude, then, that when the EPA tells us on December 1 that we can expect the standards and supporting regs by the end of the month that they are in the final editing process. They are dotting i's and crossing t's. They have a complete draft that is refined, and are just doing the professional thing because they know the impact regulations have on businesses, governments, and people. Printing will take time, blah, blah, blah. Thirty days, folks, one last push for patience.
But wait. Now we get this:
The Environmental Protection Agency announced Wednesday that it won't be prepared to decide until next July whether to tighten a national air-quality standard for ozone.
Hunh?
That would be nearly a year after the agency's original self-imposed deadline for settling the matter.
Hunh?
Here's the conversation:
"Boss, concerning those ozone standards and regs, I need several more …"
"Days? Sure. It's the holidays anyway. December 31, January 7, no big deal …"
"Um, no, ma'am, months. I need several more months."
"Help me understand."
Obama's people create the deadlines. Obama's people update us on release dates. And then they backtrack by an additional half-year at the last moment. Remarkable.
But it follows an announcement earlier this week:
On Tuesday, the EPA decided to delay another costly, controversial proposed regulation aimed at smokestack industries, saying it needed another year to finish rules aimed at reducing pollution from boilers and solid-waste incinerators.
We may as well let college students set their exam dates – the end of a semester is so fricking arbitrary anyway …
