Teleprompter to Make Debut in Indian Parliament When Obama Speaks
A teleprompter will be in use for the first time in the Central Hall of Parliament when US President Barack Obama addresses MPs on November eight.
As per the tentative programme being worked out, the address by Obama, who once said that "America has its roots in the India of Mahatma Gandhi", would not be for more than 20 minutes.
The president's programme in Parliament House complex itself will be less than an hour long, Parliament sources said today. It is scheduled to start at 5pm.
The programme will feature a welcome speech by vice-president Hamid Ansari and a vote of thanks by Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar. The US president would also sign the Golden Book, the visitors' diary of Parliament.
While US first lady Michelle Obama will be accompanying her husband, there was no confirmation whether secretary of state Hillary Clinton will be part of Obama's entourage, Parliament sources said.
Besides the visiting dignitary, those who would be on the dais in the historic Central Hall along with Obama, the Vice President and the Speaker would be Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Michelle will be given a special seat in the front row.
Obama will take the help of a teleprompter to deliver his address to the 780-odd members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, sources said.
Parliament authorities said this will be the first time that such a facility will be arranged in the Central Hall.
Obama's reliance on the teleprompter is unusual--not only because he is famous for his oratory, but because no other president has used one so consistently and at so many events, large and small.

Reid: My Ritz Carlton Penthouse Is 'Only on the Second Floor'
Facing a barrage of attacks over his living arrangements, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid insisted Thursday that his condo at Washington's Ritz-Carlton was nothing more than a one-bedroom apartment and that his real home is in a dusty mining town south of Las Vegas.
"I live in Searchlight, Nev.," Reid said on MSNBC Thursday. "I have a home in Searchlight, Nev. I stay in Washington, D.C., in a one-bedroom apartment — and my penthouse is on the second floor. How do you like that? Penthouse on the second floor."
In the interview, Reid stepped up his attacks on his opponent, Sharron Angle, accusing her of lying about his personal life and record and calling her "embarrassing" to Nevada. Reid defended his record bringing jobs to the state and said it doesn't give voters "comfort or solace" to tell them "but for me, we'd be in a worldwide depression."
Angle has increasingly sought to characterize Reid as out of touch by painting him as a rich elitist in Washington while thousands across Nevada are struggling amid the recession. On Thursday, she highlighted his Washington condo and said in an ad that he was "another multimillionaire just trying to make ends meet," sharply questioning how he made his money.

Settling the Question of a Real Estate Tax in Obamacare
By now, Americans have become well acquainted with the fact that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) will have a multitude of adverse effects. The new law is certain to add to the federal deficit. It increases taxes on all Americans in a number of different ways, encourages employers to dump coverage, and will cause many to lose their current health plan. However, a circulating claim that the PPACA includes a tax on real estate sales has misinformed the American public.
There is not a new specific tax on all real estate transactions in the PPACA. But that's not the end of the story. There is a surtax on real estate transactions that are already taxed under current law. Capital gains in excess of $500,000 from the sale of primary residences already face the capital gains tax. The new tax in the PPACA will raise the rate on these gains.
The Tax Foundation clears the air by explaining how the new tax will work:
The bill would impose essentially a capital gains taxes on some home sales made by a limited number of taxpayers. (The health care law contains a new 3.8 percent tax on "unearned income" for high-income taxpayers. Unearned income includes capital gains.) To be hit by the 3.8 percent capital gains tax, you first have to be a married couple making more than $250,000 in adjusted gross income or $200,000 if you are single. The capital gain on the home sale must also exceed $500,000 if this is a primary home and you are a married couple ($250,000 for singles).
Here's an example of how the tax would work: Say a couple makes $260,000. They purchase a primary residence at $400,000 and sell it for $1,000,000. This would amount to a capital gain from the sale of their home of $600,000. Capital gains tax plus the new Medicare tax would apply to profits over and above the threshold of $500,000. In this case, the couple's capital gain of $600,000 exceeds the threshold by $100,000. The couple would pay the capital gains tax, which rises to 20 percent in 2011 under President Obama's tax hike plan, plus the new 3.8 percent tax for a total tax rate of 23.8 percent on that $100,000. Their tax bill in this scenario is $23,800. The PPACA adds $3,800 to the couple's final tally in this example.
The new Medicare investment tax provides a disincentive for business expansion. The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) reports, "The $250,000/$500,000 thresholds only apply to the sale of a primary residence, so the tax will hit other property sales harder."
NFIB also points out that this tax "marks the first time that non-wage income is designated to fund Medicare." Beyond its marginal effects on real estate sales, the new application of the Medicare tax to investment income will have substantial effects on the economy at large. Analysts in Heritage's Center for Data Analysis write, "Raising the tax burden on investment income further damages the economy and ultimately affects all members of society." Their findings show that this tax will result in lost job opportunities, a reduction in productivity, losses in gross domestic product, and reductions in household income.
So is there a sales tax on real estate included in the health care law? In some cases, yes. But will the same provision that taxes some profits from real estate cause widespread damage to the economy? Absolutely.

Harry Reid: Dem’s Biggest Mistake Was Not Touting Our Accomplishments
The Obama-Pelosi-Reid Regime tripled the national deficit in one year.

(The Captain's Comments)
They damaged the economy for years to come.
They doubled the unemployment rate from where it was when they took over Congress.

(Source: US Misery Index)
They passed a failed Trillion dollar Stimulus bill and rammed through an unpopular nationalized health care bill. In fact, 48 of 50 states have lost jobs since the So-callled stimulus passed.
But Harry Reid thinks the democrat's biggest failure was not selling their accomplishments.
The Hill reported:
Democrats' biggest mistake has been failing to sell the public on their legislative accomplishments, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said Friday.
Reid, who's facing a tough reelection battle 11 days from now, said that Democrats didn't have the time to go out and promote some of their signature achievements, be it the stimulus bill, healthcare reform, Wall Street reform or other legislation that made its way through Congress in the last two years.
"I think the biggest thing we didn't do right was tout what we've done," Reid said Friday during an interview on CNBC. "We really didn't have time to talk about the things that we've accomplished."

Democrats Get Big Donations From Foreign Companies
Pic of the day: The Obama Card – Don’t leave home without it come January 2011
Obama made the famous claim that the middle class, people who make less than $250,000 a year, will not see a tax increase. We all know this is a lie. New government mandates and Obamacare are expensive and will be costly to everyone. Not one group of people will be exempt from these tax hikes.

Bold: Illegals Openly Campaign for Dems in Wash.
SEATTLE (AP) — When Maria Gianni is knocking on voters' doors, she's not bashful about telling people she is in the country illegally. She knows it's a risk to advertise to strangers that she's here illegally — but one worth taking in what she sees as a crucial election.
The 42-year-old is one of dozens of volunteers — many of them illegal immigrants — canvassing neighborhoods in the Seattle area trying to get naturalized citizens to cast a ballot for candidates like Democratic Sen. Patty Murray, who is in a neck-to-neck race with Republican Dino Rossi.
Pramila Jayapal, head of OneAmerica Votes, says the campaign is about empowering immigrants who may not feel like they can contribute to a campaign because they can't vote.
"Immigrants really do matter," Jayapal said. "If we can't vote ourselves, we're gonna knock on doors, or get family members to vote."
So far the illegal immigrants going door-to-door aren't meeting opposition. Craig Keller, an organizer for Respect WA, a group pushing for stricter immigration law in the Washington, said he doesn't mind illegal immigrants volunteering for vote drives, he just wants to make sure mistakes on the voter rolls don't allow them to vote.
"Anybody can go out and wave a sign, but when it comes to who's making the choices, there's no question they need to be citizens," Keller said.
In close elections across the country, the immigrant and minority vote is considered key for candidates, especially Democrats.
Earlier this week in Nevada, a television ad urging Latinos not to vote sparked outcry from Democrats, who called it a dirty trick meant to keep Hispanics home and boost Republican candidates. Univision and Telemundo — the nation's two largest Spanish-language networks — canceled the ad, which the Republican group Latinos for Reform had planned to eventually run in Nevada, Florida, California, Texas and Colorado through the Nov. 2 election.
Seattle is home to a wide array of immigrant communities, from Latinos to east Africans and Asians.
Congress declined this year to consider overhauling the country's immigration law, much to the chagrin of immigrant advocates who had expected Democrats to do so by now.
Still, OneAmerica Votes launched one of the largest get-out-the-vote campaigns in the state on behalf of Democratic candidates. The organization is an offshoot of OneAmerica, one of the state's largest and the most influential immigrant-rights advocacy group.
Through home visits, phone banks and mailings the organization is aiming to reach about 40,000 registered voters in the Seattle area in an attempt to help Democrats gain ground in key races. Volunteers include other types of people who can't vote, such as legal permanent residents.
About 150 volunteers rolled out in nine cities across Washington this past week, knocking on 3,000 doors.
In Bellevue, a city of nearly 123,000 east of Seattle, Gianni knocked on 25 doors and spoke to 15 people, she said.
One man, a naturalized citizen from the Philippines, said he knew what she was going through after she shared she was in the country illegally.
"There's always a risk," Gianni said in Spanish about her legal status. "But if there's a change, I would feel like I contributed, even in a small part, to a change we all need."
Gianni arrived in the United States on a visa 13 years ago looking for work and stayed. For a while her only son lived here, but has since moved back to Mexico.
"In order for there to be a change to our broken immigration system," she said, "I believe one has to fight."

Another case of “In Your Face” Voter Fraud in Arizona? Radical Group tied to SEIU and Dems
More "In Your Face, What can you do about it" corruption from the State Run Media and the "New" Democratic Party

RWB News: As a law abiding American I am stumped on what can be done with all the voter fraud being committed by the Democratic party, a Liberal media that fails to do their job reporting it and the most corrupt White House I have ever seen in my lifetime.
Is anything going to happen with the Democratic party in South Dakota that are luring potential voters to the polls with free food and rides?….Of Course not! "In your face" corruption and nothing can be done.
What is happening with the MAJOR voter fraud case in Houston? Nothing! A big Obama activist is connected in this scandal….They did arrest an 81 year old lady in this matter…guess she was the ring leader…what a joke.
Are they going to do anything about the High School in Ohio that loaded up 3 bus loads of students, drove them to the polling stations, handed them Democratic sample ballots and then REWARDED them with Ice Cream after the vote? Nope…"in your face" Style.
Is Winston-Salem State University going to remain as an early-voting site after they were caught sending e-mail's promoting Democratic candidates in the general election? Sure they are "in your face" corruption.
Lets not forget about Michelle "my bell" Obama talking to voters INSIDE a polling station about voting for her husband….She has an excuse though…..she is a "lawyer" that says she didn't know the law…"In your Face" America.
Now we have another so-called "Unbiased" news source The Yuma Sun praising two organizations Mi Familia Vota and One Vote Arizona for going door to door and submitting more than 3,000 voter registrations in Yuma County right before the deadline for registering voters. The groups submitted over 20,000 registrations statewide.
What they failed to mention is that over 65% of these last minute registrations were invalid due to the registrant not being a citizen, a wrong/invalid address, or a false signature and The web-site domain for Mi Familia Vota (mifamiliavota.net, created Aug 14, 2006) is and has been officially owned and registered by the SEIU. All contact names/addresses/email for the domain are listed as part of the SEIU in Washington. Pure Thuggery and Corruption.

AS Reported By The Gateway Pundit
Yuma County is located in Arizona's 6th District. Currently, far left Arizona boycotterRep. Raul Grijalva is caught in a tight race with Republican rocket scientist Ruth McClung. A few thousand votes could change the outcome of the race between the popular rocket scientist Ruth McClung and the socialistboycotter Raul Grijalva.
Publius Pundit reported this on the suspected voter fraud.
swenbwrThe Yuma Sun is reporting that two organizations — Mi Familia Vota and One Vote Arizona — submitted more than 3000 voter registrations in Yuma County, and more than 20,000 voters statewide. Even more, they have signed up 43,000 people statewide for the permanent early voter list.
What they didn't tell you is that voter fraud on a massive scale could be taking place, ostensibly to help Raul Grijalva keep the congressional seat he holds by stealing the election.
Here's what the article doesn't tell you, by a source in the Yuma County Recorder's Office:
These 3000 voter registration forms were all dropped off at once by the one group on the deadline to turn in voter registration forms.
Almost all of the registrations were for the Democratic Party, a statistical improbability at best.
Today, these same 3000 newly registered voters — as a group — had papers dropped off at the Yuma Recorder's office requesting to be signed up for the permanent early voters list… which means the ballots will be mailed early, with no accountability.
The Yuma Recorder's office is checking the voter registration forms and have found that already more than 65% of them are invalid due to the registrant not being a citizen, wrong/invalid address, false signature, etc. Mi Familia Vota is a wholly-owned SEIU sub-organization. It is just as "non-partisan" as ACORN was before documented fraudulent behaviors finally killed it.
Hunter Cantor's Corner documented Mi Familia Vota's ties to the radical SEIU:
The web-site domain for Mi Familia Vota (mifamiliavota.net, created Aug 14, 2006) is and has been officially owned and registered by the SEIU. All contact names/addresses/email for the domain are listed as part of the SEIU in Washington.

1800 Massachusetts Ave NW
Washington, DC 20036, US** From http://mifamiliavota.net and the SEIU web-site respectively, the physical addresses listed for the two organizations refer to the same office address. 3707 N 7th Str, Suite 100, Phoenix AZ. Even before Oct 2008, when Mi Familia Vota was finally formally registered in Arizona, the web-site versions as far back as at least 2007 refer to this same SEIU Arizona address as the formal address for MFV. Physical Street Address for Mi Familia Vota and SEIU Arizona.
** The Arizona incorporation filing for Mi Familia Vota Education Fund, which is its formal name, shows that it was registered as an Arizona foreign (meaning not from Arizona) Corporation, as a Washington entity with two names, "Mi Familia Vota Education Fund" and "America's Families United, Inc", both registered with an agent in Washington as "Lichtman, Trister et al", an attorneys office specializing in non-profit registrations. Both registered to the attorney's address of 1666 Connecticut Ave, N.W. Suite 500, Washington, DC 20009. Registering Mi Familia Vota as another version of "America's Families United, Inc", another SEIU organization, makes it seem to the Arizona Corporation Commission, where the company has to be registered, as if there is a level of legitimacy about it. SEIU is not mentioned on the papers filed at all. However, the Arizona "agent" for Mi Familia Vota, which is required for registration in Arizona, just happens to be listed as Carlos Duarte, 3707 N 7TH ST STE 100, PHOENIX, AZ 85014. Same SEIU address as listed above, where Carlos Duarte's formal job is as the SEIU Arizona State Chapter Coordinator.
Mi Familia Vota along with the SEIU and America's Voice launched a Spanish-language radio ad in six states in September, highlighting Republican opposition to the DREAM act, among other issues.
UPDATE: The Nogales International reported that these far left groups are putting voters on a permanent early voters list so that they can mail in their ballots.
"We're targeting low-propensity, Latino voters," Wihtol said. "We're trying to get them on a permanent early voters list, so they just have to mail in their ballots. That'll make it easier."
County Recorder Suzie Sains said as of Wednesday, 4,386 Santa Cruz County residents were registered to vote in the upcoming election by early, mail-in ballot. During the May election, 68 percent of the 3,790 people who received ballots in the mail returned them, she said.
